Class of 2028 Rankings: The Top Ten

PGHNJ has just released its rankings update for the junior class. This new-look Top 10 is loaded with talent, with four new entries making a splash. The 5-star nationally ranked prospect showed off on the EYBL circuit with Philly Rise, picking up offers big-time offers from Baylor, Maryland, Tennessee, South Carolina, USC, Louisville & LSU (among many others). She picked up an invite to the prestigious Ta'Quan Zimmerman Elite 20 Invitational and nabbed MVP honors at the exclusive NYvsNY Championship at Dyckman. Nawel was named a standout at nearly every live period event and picked up offers from schools like Stanford, Richmond, Villanova, Harvard & Columbia (among many others) and took unofficial visits to Rutgers, Princeton, Penn State & Boston College. She earned a camp invite for France's U16 National Team in July and in August, picked up an invite for the prestigious Wootten 150. The French phenom also signed an NIL deal with The Fam sports agency, to round out the summer. She picked up offers this spring and summer from major schools like Ohio State, Louisville, Baylor, Michigan & Notre Dame, while snagging invites to the Ta'Quan Zimmerman Elite 20 Invitational and Wootten 150. A strong showing in Dyckman at NYvsNY just after the final AAU live period saw her pick up Player of the Game honors. She split her summer between the EYBL circuit with Philly Rise and international ball with Seleccion Colombia. At FIBA's AmeriCup South American Qualifiers, she helped Colombia to a 2-1 Group Phase and a run to the 3rd Place Game. She had stops at both Philly & Jersey Live [with Camden Catholic] for the June scholastic viewing period, earning standout recognition at both. At FIBA AfroBasket in Cote d'Ivoire, she averaged 6.3 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 2.2 APG & 2.3 SPG, finishing with a +4.7 per game efficiency rating and helping the U18 D'Tigress secure a silver medal. In a rebuilding year, she helped to keep her team close and competitive against major talent the likes of CP3 Flames, Cal Storm, Mokan & Indiana One. She also played really good basketball at Jersey Live (in June) and the Hoops 4MS Invitational (in August). In June at Jersey Live with SJV, she earned Player of the Game honors vs national powers Bethlehem Catholic (PA) and St. John's College (DC). Just weeks ago at Hoop4MS, she looked sharp competing against some elite talent from the Tri-State Area. Her game continues to evolve as she puts in the work; her cross, quicker... her physicality, stronger... and her confidence, higher than ever before.
