Freshman Showcase – Players to Watch

We are very close to registration deadline for the PGH freshman showcase in Ohio. The event takes place Sunday August 23 in Columbus and it's your opportunity to get on the radar of our staff. I have always said you don't have to show up to be ranked, but it goes a long long way to be considered among the best when the rankings come out. You will make a much bigger ranking impact if you show that you can play against the best in your grade.
Don't waste any more time, get signed up today and be a part of the annual event! This is an opportunity for most of you to be seen for the first time, but there are some freshmen who have already caught our attention who will be there, and you can compete with them for a spot.

She has been drawing attention for a couple of years now, and she finally reaches the high school level. Super athletic, well trained and skilled, good basketball pedigree and now it's her turn to shine. She can score in multiple ways, explosive, smart basketball IQ, and while the first list of rankings come out in December for this class, I would expect her to be very high among the 2030s in Ohio.
Highlights
At the Middle School All-Star game up in Dayton in March, she was the best player on the floor among 60 or so incoming freshman. She's got excellent handles for her size, can play inside or out, equally as skilled both places. Can defend, super lengthy, allowing her to defend the rim and protect the passing lane… be ready for Ott.
There is nothing this kid can't do with the ball, she caught my attention immediately at our PGH Dayton event playing up and dominating. She controls the game, pushes tempo and can get points for her team either scoring or distributing. She she's another one that's going to push for that top spot in the class.
Highlights
I got to see her also for the first time at the All-Star game, she was extremely impressive, in control all the time, and she played above her years. Her mom was a standout player back in the 90s, look for Olivia to catch the attention this year as she makes a statement early in her career.
Highlights
Addi is a point guard who excels in making her team successful. Great handles on both sides, she can play fast and push tempo with excellent court vision and the ability to make the quick pass. If you need points, she can do that also on a consistent basis either getting by her defender or knocking down the perimeter shot. I think she's going to make a big impact in one of the states top programs.
