Little Kanawha Conference juniors set to make big impacts I

Juniors are an invaluable ingredient to all high school basketball teams. They can make an impact and have the second-highest basketball IQ on the court. The Little Kanawha Conference has its share of juniors who are about to make big impacts during the run to Glenville State University's WACO Center for the LKC Night of Champions, and, eventually, to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center for the state tournaments:    Mollohan would be a valuable addition to any college team, thanks to her multifaceted skill set on the hardwood. Mollohan, a stocky, powerful combo guard, can play inside and out with an ambidextrous ability to finish around the rim and further away from the hoop. She's an elite defender who excels in both a zone and a man-to-man defensive scheme. She has a great floor presence and is an unselfish facilitator of any offense.       Mowery could help any offensive-minded team from the day she steps on a college basketball court. She has an easily repeatable, smooth shot that looks good from the moment it leaves her hand until it finds the basket. She releases her shot quickly and accurately if she gets even just a hint of daylight. She's a great spot-up shooter. Braxton County will need her to step up her scoring this season as the Eagles said goodbye to top scorer Bailey Pritt.       Asbury made some big waves last year as she was named to the Class AA all-state honorable mentions as only a sophomore. The Dot powered her way to the selection with a great shooting performance. She uses her quick shot, willingness to shoot around screens, or double screens and great positioning to hit the 3-point shot at a high rate. Her bread--and-butter shot is a corner trey.     Nehne is a strong post player with a penchant for the little things and rebounds. She works best offensively in a pick-and-roll thanks to her size and ability to use her body to move other players around the court. She utilizes a wicked drop step to catch slower defenders off guard and create easy offense for herself. Many college coaches should take a chance on this Dot as she owns the intangibles and work ethic to be a strong post player.     Cox is a versatile guard, one capable of causing problems on the perimeter. She is a consistent force in the paint and beyond the arc. She can take her defender off the dribble or rise up for a jump shot. She's a lockdown defender with a great midrange jump shot. She will cause defensive mismatches because of her quick feet, fast shot, and strong jumper. Coaches may be wary of her unorthodox windup, but she makes her shot work.
