More Potential Breakout Players This Winter

Last season, numerous players stepped into more prominent roles and thrived as the focal points of their programs. However, a knee injury just before her sophomore season has kept her off the floor since, but she should be ready to play this volleyball season. That said, she is one of the most talented kids in the state and has the tools to take this program, which surprised people, including myself, after reaching sectionals last winter. Thomson impressed after she was asked to do more after her sister's season ended early due to a knee injury. She is capable of recording a double-double in any game she plays and has the skill set to push the ball up the floor in transition. Konkol had an impressive first season, but the team success wasn't there for Rapids, even though they were better than the year before. She's a physical player who can move her feet well enough to stay in front of guards off the dribble and rebound on the defensive end. The Brookfield native is also an efficent scorer who can score in the paint and space the floor to knock down perimeter jumpers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
