Below we have five offensive bucket getters that will be returning this season to make their mark once again on the Varsity scene over the next eight months.

Make sure to stop by and check them out if you have a moment this upcoming season. They are sure to keep you on your feet!

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

French averaged over 14 PPG last season while being Stanton's main producer on the offensive end. She got these buckets throughout the Winter in all different ways. She was more of a threat from two point land compared to three but she wasn't afraid to let it fly if the defense decided to sag off. She was someone that consistently got to the line multiple times a contest, showing her dedication to going towards the hoop and looking for some sort of contact. This Winter she will be their leader on the offensive end again. When you take into account that she shot almost double the amount of shot attempts as the next player behind her on that list - you notice that she could ramp up her efficiency numbers over the next two years if she plays within her own ability a little bit better. Overall though, French has had a fantastic individual high school career so far. She just needs to keep things rolling.

One of Tenley Levin's best abilities is that she can score the rock at a higher rate than most her age level. You can attribute that to her mixture of height, athletic ability, and situational awareness on the floor. Last season as a Freshman Levin took the state by storm grabbing the #1 ranking in the 2029 Class. She demonstrated throughout the year that she is a three level scoring threat, who can also defend the oppositions best player at a steady pace but I'm hoping this Winter we can see even more out of Levin. She has a lot of those intangibles that college coaches love to see. She just needs to keep working during the off-seasons to build up her confidence. She should know that most nights when she takes the court to compete, she IS the best player on the floor and she should act like it.

To see that Adalyn Snowgren comes it at 5'6 and she led her team in RPG last season as a Freshman will always intrigue me. If you want to be a good rebounder, all you have to do is be willing. You need to be willing to mix it up with people who might be bigger or stronger than you. Snowgren does that at a high level. She also can score the rock at a thorough rate - which only adds on to her overall ability as a competitor. College coaches around the Midwest should keep an eye on this one. She plays a smaller brand of competition during the high school season but he results have spoken for themselves so far. We will just need to see what she can do in the near future to add to that.

Addie McLaughlin will have some help this season, giving Regina a chance to make a 2A State run once the Playoffs begin at the start of 2027. McLaughlin averaged 22 PPG and 6 APG as a Sophomore at Regina last Winter. You would think with more help that her numbers might drop down a bit in the PPG department but I don't think that will be the case. With more support, defenses are going to be even thinner when trying to slow down the Regals. Opposing teams will have to focus more on everyone else around McLaughlin, opening her up to even more buckets throughout the next few years. This is one of those hoopers that we call PG #1. She will play at a D1 level when she gets to college, it's just figuring out where at this point in the process. She can be your pass first type but she can also light the nets on fire with her shooting ability so it'll all comes down to who see's value in that.

It's time for Carlee Johnston to step up as, "The Girl", at Westwood High School. Johnston, the 5'6 PG, was a constant last season. She averaged just under 12 PPG and she dished out 3.2 APG. This group had another leader in her Senior year, that ended up leading the team in most positive statistical categories but Johnston was right behind her in everything and now that the Senior has graduated - it's time for Johnston to step up to make some meaningful plays throughout this Winter season. She has already proven that she can produce. She just needs to show us how far she can take it now with the team on her back. She will have some help on both ends but when the clock is running down or this group needs a huge moment to win a game - it's going to come down to Johnston and the type of play she can make.
