The series of players to know in the offseason continues in the Class of 3A in Region 3. Here are five players to keep track of before the start of the 2026-2027 school hoops season.

[player_tooltip player_id='821752' first='Faith' last='Morris'] has a lightning-quick jumper that she can shoot both on the catch and off the dribble.

Morris is comfortable as a dribbler, and one area of the floor she often attacks with intent is the midrange area. From there, she consistently makes jumpers.

Morris is also a team player and is always looking for the best way to help her team score. One way she does this is with her passing. Morris, while often on the perimeter, consistently delivers good post entry passes that often lead to buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1252892' first='Harper' last='Stinnett']'s game is centered around her shooting, but she can do other things as well.

Stinnett in her freshman season was a more-than-meaningful player on an Alcoa team that made the state tournament. She had multiple games with four or more made 3-pointers. This includes a game against Cocke County where she made five. She has quick mechanics on her jumper that allow her to constantly get shots off, despite teams keying in on her on the perimeter.

Stinnett can also be a rebounding threat at the guard position. Her scrappy playstyle that shows up in her defense helps her in securing rebounds. In a game against Maryville High School, she logged 13 rebounds last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='619788' first='Payton' last='Rollins'] is an elite driver. Rollins at the PG position is elite at setting up one of her best dribble moves: a right-to-left crossover. She does that by using a hesitation move and rapidly snapping off a crossover, which often opens up a lane for her to attack the paint.

Rollins did this routinely in a recent summer hoops game. Rollins, when she does find a driving lane, is great at evaluating what to do next. She either attacks the basket for a layup, or if a shot is not there, she is not selfish and will kick out a pass to an open teammate.

That part of her game, combined with her ability to knock down 3-pointers, makes her one of the best players in her class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1322603' first='Madilyn' last='Rollan'] in her freshman season at Hixson High School showed great potential to be a high-level scorer at the high school level.

In Rollan's first season, she had multiple games where she scored in double figures. This includes a game against Whitwell High School where she dropped 15 points.

Rollan as a guard is capable of scoring at all three levels on the floor. With that and the proven success she already has had, she could have an amazing sophomore season.

Going into her senior season, [player_tooltip player_id='821858' first='Emma' last='Rutherford'], with her vast skill set, is set up to be one of the better players in her region.

Rutherford as a PG can help her team in a number of ways. One of the main ways she does so is with her perimeter defense. Last season, she had multiple games where she had five or more steals. This included a game against Hixson High School where she had seven steals.

Rutherford is an elite steal threat because of her aggressiveness combined with her patience. Rutherford knows when to crowd a defender and when to play more passively.
