Sophomore ID Camp: Team 9 Evaluation

Team 9 featured a balance of the experienced, the under-the-radar, and the "still-developing." The group featured strong guard play, good outside shooting, athleticism, rebounding, and some versatile play around the basket. Some players are still developing, but as a team, they were as solid as any other team that was put together at the showcase.    [player_tooltip player_id='1227838' first='Victoria' last='Pippi Boyer'] came as advertised. Boyer was impactful in all areas on the court. Her offensive game is versatile and presents a pick-your-poison result. She can pull up from long range, and she can get to the rim and finish with explosion. Boyer is fast, athletic, confident, and a very polished player for just a Sophomore. She was definitely one of the top prospects i the building.     [player_tooltip player_id='1249017' first='Angelina' last='Laudicina'] was one of the most versatile players in the building. Laudicina made a conscious effort to play on the inside "like Shaq" for a large stretch of the showcase. She followed up shots, grabbed offensive rebounds, and literally put her nose in on every play. On one play, she took a hit across the nose. While in pain, tipped the pass, intercepted the ball and scored a layup in one succession. She used pivots and a right-handed hook to finish inside, passed well, and created a steal before scoring it on the break. Laudicina stretched the defense on a few plays just to remind coaches that she is still a bona fide three-ball sniper. Laudicina was one of the most versatile ballers in the building.     [player_tooltip player_id='1320106' first='London' last='Williams'] delivered a good performance with her ball-handling, change of direction, defense, and attacking ability. In one game, her reputation as a ball-handler and playmaker drew some of the toughest defenders and made the young ball-handler work for everything. She stayed with it and still got to the rim on a few plays and made some nice plays when she got a step on the defense.     [player_tooltip player_id='1686363' first='Kinley' last='Stillman'] showed some flashes on the court as her offensive game is still developing. She did get to the rim a few times and made a few shots in the midrange and on the perimeter. She had some nice defensive plays, including a few nice blocked shots on the help side. Her athleticism and length stood out, but the one thing that separated Stillman was her effort to get to loose balls. She repeatedly dove on the floor for loose balls and got the ball to her teammates while lying on the floor. When Stillman's offensive game catches up to her athleticism and motor, she is going to be a problem.     [player_tooltip player_id='1855510' first='Camdyn' last='Reagan'] showed a lot of versartility on the floor and did a little of everything. she was definitely a utility player at the showcase. She contributed with her rebounding, controlled ballhandling and passing. She advanced the ball after securing rebounds, delivered quality entry passes and showed nice touch around the basket.     [player_tooltip player_id='1861615' first='Shaneika' last='Maxenat'] brought good size, athleticism and mobility to the lineup. She ran the floor well, helped defensively and showed the physical tools to become a difficult matchup as her game continues to develop. Maxenat has the size to matchup inside against centers and power forwards.     Naomi Forfara played hard and brought a tough presence and good size to the court at the guard position. She handled the ball effectively, showed good court vision and consistently made smart decisions. Fonfara showed versatility to her scoring, taking it all the way to the rim and also knocking down a jumper. Fonfara was an energetic player who has a lot of versatility to her game.     Tylah Stalling's game is still developing, but she did make a few splash plays at the showcase. Starling has good speed on the floor and can knock down the perimeter on ocasion. She was a valuable utility player who contributed in several areas.
