Sophomore ID Camp: Team 10 Evaluations

The Sophomore ID Camp was one for the ages. The athletes started day with a group warmup, followed by 3v3 and onto the 5v5 games. All the excitement was taking place on 3 courts inside the Seminole Sports Academy. These athletes bought it the whole day and left the scouts, fans, and themselves in aww. Here is look at Team 10.    White is a playmaker with the ball in her hands. A shifty guard that knows how to set up her back door cuts and read and react to the defense. Showed her ability to consistently shoot the 3 ball and has range for days. A player that can take over every possession with her ability to create her own shot and distribute if guarded. What stood out most was her ability to get to the basket and finish with the reverse layup. Top tier combo player that will be on everyone's watchlist this season.     Matos is a tough guard who can get to the basket at will. Once she gets a full head of steam it's tough to keep her in front of you. A player that works hard on ball and away from the ball. Rebounds well and runs the floor well in transition. Has the ability to shoot the 3 ball, mid-range and get to basket.     Hill is a player who is always in the right place at the right time. Strong on the block and knows how to finish over the defense. Athletic power forward who doesn't mind playing with her back to the basket. Has the ability to shoot the mid-range jumper once she pulls her defender away from the basket. Hogs the offensive and defensive boards.     Bertel was a gamechanger that kept everyone guessing what she would do next. A player that can get to the basket and hit the gaps with her quickness. Great handles that allow her to slash through the defense and not be guarded. She shot the ball well from outside but was able to get a lot of open looks due to her defender not wanting to push up in her space. Once you pressure her, she knows how to get you on her hip and get pass you.     Webber is a player with great size which allows her to guard any position on the floor. If she had to switch on a guard, she showed she could sit down and keep them in front. Runs rim to rim and always keep her head up to receive the ball in transition. A player that never seems to get tired of running the floor. Crashes the boards hard which created 2nd chance points.     Herrera was one of the smaller players in the Sophomore ID Camp, but she showed that energy and effort can come from doing the little things on the court. A player that communicates well with her teammates and doesn't mind doing the extra work on defense and offense. Can score at will but gets more joy out of her precision passes. The first one down the floor and always in position to score. Look for her to make some noise this upcoming season.     Campbell is a floor general that knows how to manage the offense. A player that uses the curl, backdoor and flare cuts to her advantage when reading the defense. Can score from anywhere on the court and brings the energy on defense. Great 2-way player.     Rose is a player that makes good decisions on both ends of the floor. A player who uses her strength to power through the contact at the rim. Does not mind sacrificing her body to get after the rebounds and loose balls. Forces turnovers with her on ball defense and runs the floor well in transition.
