Sophomore ID Camp: Team One Prospects Make Their Mark

The Sophomore ID Camp gave us another opportunity to get a closer look at some of the players who could be names to follow over the next few seasons. Team One had a good mix of scoring, defense, athleticism and players willing to fill different roles depending on what their team needed. Here are some of the prospects who stood out during the action.    [player_tooltip player_id='1224124' first='Landree' last='Johnson'] showed her ability as a three level scorer while playing at her own pace and never looking rushed offensively. She made an impact on the other end coming up with blocks around the rim. Her ability to contribute on both ends made her one of the more noticeable players on Team One.     [player_tooltip player_id='1264363' first='Samantha' last='Pettit'] a defensive presence and looked like a great glue piece throughout the camp. She showed that she can do multiple things on the floor and doesn't need to score to make an impact. Her versatility gives her the ability to fill different roles depending on what is needed around her.     [player_tooltip player_id='903304' first='Amilia' last='Abeyta'] showed her value as a shooter and was ready to take advantage of open looks. She did a good job spacing the floor and giving the offense another threat from the perimeter. She was also active defensively and stayed involved on that end of the floor.     [player_tooltip player_id='1893137' first='Hannah' last='Miano'] found ways to be a contributor on either end of the floor throughout the camp. What she provided could change from game to game depending on what her team needed from her. That willingness to adjust allowed her to impact the game without having to play the same role every time out.     [player_tooltip player_id='1262923' first='London' last='Barry'] looked really good offensively with the ball in her hands and creating opportunities. She also ran the floor well in transition and put herself in position to make plays in the open court. Defensively, she was solid and gave her team another dependable presence on that end.     [player_tooltip player_id='1257491' first='Natalie' last='Young'] played hard and brought plenty of hustle whenever she was on the floor. She used her length defensively disrupting and making things difficult for opposing players. Her combination of energy and defensive effort allowed her to make an impact without needing a lot of touches offensively.
