<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Meet the Rookies: The 2026 Prep Girls Hoops Louisiana Expo All-Freshman Second Team</h1>   The 2026 Prep Girls Hoops Louisiana Expo brought together talented prospects from several graduating classes, but the Class of 2030 made it clear that Louisiana's next generation is already arriving.   These young athletes stepped onto the floor against strong competition and refused to back down. They competed with confidence, displayed their developing skills and showed the potential to become important names in Louisiana girls basketball.   Selecting the All-Freshman teams was not easy. Each player brought something different to the event while representing her school and the Class of 2030 against talented competition.   The Louisiana Expo provided these freshmen with an opportunity to test themselves, learn from the experience and show that they belong on the floor with some of the state's rising prospects. Performing well at this stage of their careers gives them a strong foundation to build upon as they continue developing.   These athletes are only beginning their high school journeys, which makes their performances even more exciting. Their games will continue to grow as they become stronger, gain experience and adjust to the demands of high school basketball. Competing against some of the state's top prospects, the young 2030 athlete refused to back down and found multiple ways to make her presence felt.   Stricklin played with confidence and composure beyond her years. She handled the basketball, competed defensively, attacked the glass and made the extra-effort plays that helped her team. Whether she was creating with the ball or battling for a loose rebound, she remained active and involved in every possession.   What separated Stricklin was her versatility and fearless approach. She never looked overwhelmed by the competition. Instead, she embraced the challenge, maintained her composure and continued making winning plays against older and more experienced athletes.   Stricklin showed that she has the toughness, versatility and competitive mindset to become a serious name in Louisiana's 2030 class. She is only beginning to tap into her potential, but the message from the Expo was clear: [player_tooltip player_id='1895919' first='Brooklyn' last='Stricklin'] belongs—and her future is extremely bright.     [player_tooltip player_id='1878208' first='Anna-Claire' last='Stinson'] stepped onto the floor at the Louisiana Expo and competed like she belonged, regardless of the age or experience of the players around her. The 5-foot-8 prospect held her own against older athletes, using her size, confidence and offensive versatility to create scoring opportunities.   Stinson controlled the basketball well and looked comfortable handling it with either hand. That ability allowed her to change directions, attack from different angles and get to her shot without becoming predictable. She played under control, created space and consistently found opportunities to score.   Her toughness also stood out. Stinson battled through physical possessions, refused to be pushed around and continued competing against some of the best players in the gym. She played like a dawg, showing no fear and proving that she could handle the intensity of the event.   Stinson left the Expo looking like a young prospect with size, ball control, two-handed versatility and plenty of fight. Her ability to perform against older competition made it clear that she has a very bright future.     Kaydence “KK” Hickman entered the Louisiana Expo and showed exactly why she is considered one of the top guards in Louisiana's 2030 class. The 5-foot-5 combo guard played fearlessly, controlled the basketball under pressure and attacked the basket without hesitation.   Hickman's decision-making and shot selection were advanced for a young guard. She knew when to create her own scoring opportunity, when to attack an opening and when to get her teammates involved. Her tight handle, court awareness and confidence allowed her to remain composed and consistently make the right play.   KK does not have to do much talking on the floor because she lets her game speak for itself. Everything she provided offensively was matched by her effort on defense. She pressured ballhandlers, disrupted possessions and competed with energy on every trip down the floor.   The Louisiana Expo could be the beginning of a special upcoming season for Hickman. She plays with confidence, impacts both ends of the court and continues to prove that she belongs among the best players in her class.   KK Hickman—remember the name.     [player_tooltip player_id='1602774' first='Deony' last='Davis'] showed up at the Louisiana Expo and delivered one of the event's most complete performances. There wasn't much she didn't do well. She brought the heart, hustle and competitive fire every coach wants, making an impact wherever her team needed it.   Davis attacked the basket fearlessly, played through contact and created scoring opportunities without forcing the action. What made her especially dangerous was her ability to balance scoring with playmaking. She kept her head up, recognized the defense and consistently found ways to get her teammates involved.   Her skill stood out, but her effort separated her from the pack. Davis competed on every possession, stayed active on both ends and played with a team-first mentality. She never waited for the game to come to her—she went out and made things happen.   Davis has the size, versatility and basketball IQ to become one of the elite guards in Louisiana's 2030 class. She can score, facilitate, compete and do the dirty work required to win. The future is bright, the potential is real, and [player_tooltip player_id='1602774' first='Deony' last='Davis'] is a name everyone needs to remember.     The future of the point guard position at French Settlement is in good hands. [player_tooltip player_id='1812525' first='Taylor' last='Aydell'] showed up and showed out at the Louisiana Expo, displaying the poise, toughness and court vision needed to run a team.   Aydell handled pressure, protected the basketball and consistently delivered accurate passes. She found post players inside, kicked the ball out to open shooters and connected with cutters moving toward the rim. Her high basketball IQ allowed her to read the defense, control the action and create quality scoring opportunities for everyone around her.   Don't let her 5-foot-4 frame fool you—Aydell plays with serious physicality. She fearlessly challenged bigger players, attacked openings and competed with a nonstop motor. Previous coverage has also highlighted her energy, toughness, active hands and ability to finish through contact.   Aydell already understands what winning basketball requires. She was a member of the French Settlement team that captured the 2026 Division III Non-Select state championship, the program's first title since 1964.   Aydell is a fearless floor general who combines elite passing, ball control, toughness and an advanced feel for the game. She makes her teammates better, refuses to back down and plays much bigger than her size.
