The Next Names Up in the Class of 2030 Rankings

For this freshman class, Division I offers will carry most of the weight, especially since offers aren't being handed out as early or as easily as they once were. From there, true college potential, evident skill, size, production within a competitive high school or AAU program, upside, and long-term projection will all be valued. High school stats alone will not hold much weight. These rankings will continue to expand over time, and spots can change due to injuries, new offers, development, or simply other prospects getting better. Below are a couple of prospects on the Watch List to keep an eye on in their first season.</h3>    Mother McAuley will have another group of young, talented guards this season, and Lainie's name is in that group. From an activity standpoint, she has a strong motor that shows on both ends, especially in the passing lanes defensively. Offensively is where she hangs her hat right now, and the handle and ability to get to the rim are there. The shot is solid too, and as the mechanics tighten and become smoother, she'll be able to add another layer to her game on that side of the ball.     Having the frame at a young age is one thing, but knowing how to control that size and use it correctly is another. Nichol is ahead of the curve when it comes to that piece. She has the foundation to be a two way threat for her program this year, and as the offensive side of her game expands and becomes more consistent, she'll be able to add another layer of impact to her program.     Solid fundamentals are in place for Khan, especially on the scoring end of things. She has a solid handle that allows her to create space and get to her spots on the court. As that develops, her scoring strengths should continue to expand, and she could become an immediate threat for her program.     A kid who gives 100% effort on both ends of the floor and plays almost twice her size. Haunty should be able to get some minutes this year on the varsity end, and if she's not needed to score, she can definitely set things up on the defensive side. She has a strong build and knows how to use it to her advantage. The playmaking is evident too, and as the ball handling gets tighter, she could fall into that combo guard slot for a program.     I've seen Allie a handful of times over the past year, and one thing that immediately stands out is her activity and the energy she plays with. Even before you get to her offensive skill set, the aggression and focus take center stage for what she could bring to a program. Her scoring will be needed this year, and she has the skill to do that from every area on the court. Attacking the rim seems to be where most of her comfort lies, and she has no problem finishing when traffic is there.
