What Class of 2029 Prospects Are Making The Leap?

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">We've officially updated the <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/illinois/rankings/2029-watch-list/">Class of 2029 rankings.</a> As college recruiting gets more serious for this class, our rankings will reflect that more heavily. Height, size, frame, and athleticism will be weighed just as much as individual skill, with offers still carrying the most weight when it comes to a prospect's overall projection. Below are some prospects who made a jump in our rankings since the last update. </h3>    Nowacki has cracked the top 10, and this kid has earned it. The playmaking ability is what will intrigue coaches at the next level, and also the maturity and poise that she plays with, with a little bit of fire as well. The next level to her game is controlling the flow and orchestrating her teammates. once shes able to move players around and get them easier looks, you're looking at a high-tier type of point guard. Big fan of what she could turn out to be.     The potential and upside are HIGH, and she doesn't allow herself to blend in with her competition. Her game is smooth, her handles are strong, and the way she moves throughout the court screams confidence. If she's able to maintain the consistency of her play against stronger competition, we're looking at a possible top 15 player in this class when senior year rolls around.     The frame, length, and mobility that Zaire has stand out the moment the ball is tipped. She's an active post player who doesn't mind using her strength to finish near the basket, and on the defensive end she can act as your paint blanket. If she's able to add some comfort and consistency with a 12- 15 ft. range, she could find herself having conversations with college coaches soon. Strong potential.     Carlson will be a major draw this year for Glenbard North, and her ability to score at all levels will be key to that. She isn't afraid of the traffic, doesn't shy away from contact, and will let it go from DEEP. The defense, however, is what I believe will bring the recruiting calls... she's a pest and plays with high energy and awareness. As the ball handling gets tighter.. she can slide into the PG position when necessary.     All the signs point to a strong prospect when it comes to Adelyn, the college frame, the 3-level offensive skill… and, most of all, the maturity and coachability that are clearly there. She's a couple of steps away from making that big leap as a true D1 prospect, and the consistency, lockdown defense, and overall speed/athleticism are the things she should focus on this upcoming season. High potential.
