The AND1/Connect League Finals at the Spooky Nook once again showcased why this circuit continues to gain momentum. One of the premier basketball venues in the region was filled with talented teams, high-level competition, and college-caliber prospects. With outstanding leadership, growing exposure, and an impressive social media presence, the Connect League is quickly becoming a must-attend event. These perimeter players consistently impacted games and proved they belong among the top standouts from the weekend.    Payton was one of the biggest reasons her team finished the weekend as AND1/Connect League National Champions. She delivered in big moments by knocking down timely three-pointers, sprinting the floor for transition baskets, and creating momentum changing steals. Beyond her scoring, she displayed outstanding court awareness by making the extra pass and creating easy opportunities for teammates. Every championship team needs players willing to make winning plays, and Payton did exactly that throughout the tournament.     Brinly put together one of the most complete performances of any wing at the tournament. She was equally effective attacking the basket and knocking down shots from the perimeter, making her extremely difficult to defend. Her length and athleticism were just as impactful on the defensive end, where she consistently disrupted passing lanes, forced turnovers, and turned defense into offense. What separated Brinly was her versatility, as she comfortably defended all five positions while providing her team with a constant two-way presence throughout the weekend.     Moose was an absolute matchup nightmare from the opening tip. Smaller defenders simply could not handle her strength, while bigger defenders struggled to stay in front of her quickness. She attacked the rim with confidence, finished through contact, and consistently imposed her physicality on both ends of the floor. Whether she was scoring, defending, or creating extra possessions through hustle and toughness, Moose continually made winning plays. Her rare combination of power, speed, and competitive fire made her one of the premier wing standouts at the AND1/Connect League Finals.     Although naturally a wing, the 5'11” Mia embraced the challenge of playing in the post and excelled throughout the tournament. She scored efficiently around the basket while also stretching the defense with her perimeter shooting, making her a difficult matchup for every opponent. Defensively, she guarded multiple positions with confidence and consistently made hustle plays that swung momentum in her team's favor. Her versatility, basketball IQ, and willingness to do whatever her team needed were major factors in helping secure the National Championship.     Walker was relentless every time the ball came off the rim. Despite being one of the younger players on the floor, she competed with tremendous confidence and physicality, consistently winning rebounding battles against older competition. She created extra possessions with offensive rebounds, limited second-chance opportunities on the defensive end, and brought tremendous energy every time she stepped on the court. Her motor never slowed down, making her one of the toughest competitors at the event.     Reba established herself as one of the most physical players in the tournament. She controlled the glass on both ends of the floor by consistently finishing possessions with rebounds while creating second-chance opportunities for her team. Around the basket, she altered and blocked numerous shots with excellent timing and toughness. Her willingness to battle inside, defend with physicality, and protect the rim made her a difference-maker every game she played.     Haven showcased why versatility is so valuable in today's game. She impacted nearly every possession by defending multiple positions, battling on the boards, and providing a reliable interior presence when her team needed it most. Offensively, she played with patience and strength around the basket, while defensively she used her size, instincts, and effort to make life difficult for opposing players. Her consistent two-way production helped her team compete at a high level throughout the weekend.     Hope brought an unmatched level of toughness and intensity every time she stepped on the floor. She attacked the paint without hesitation, finished through contact, and consistently outworked opponents for rebounds. Her physical style of play set the tone for her team, while her relentless effort created extra possessions and countless hustle plays. Hope's energy never wavered, making her one of the most dependable and impactful players in the tournament.
