2030’s: Tremendous Upside On The Horizon

For the past week, we have been touching up on some prospects in the 2030 class. Though we haven't reached all just yet, we are starting to uncover more and more talent in this class. I mentioned in a previous article that this class will have some solid pieces to add to the realm of high school basketball in Tennessee. Exciting. Hungry. Athletic. These girls are ready to come in and put on a show.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One thing is for sure: this class has some tremendous upside when it comes to these prospects. I just think this class will benefit from so much in the end. What I mean by that comment is this. For starters, they will be competing with, practicing with, and getting mentored by some talented kids ahead of them. Secondly, with all the NIL, transfer portal, extra years, and so forth, by the time it's their turn to graduate, a lot of that stuff will hopefully be ironed out. With that being said, kids will have a clear path to earning a collegiate scholarship without all the drama and stuff.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Anyways, I wanted to point out just a few kids that have piqued my interest lately. Rest assured, I'm searching the state looking for the next wave of 2030 talent, but here are a few kids that I feel have tremendous upside in the 2030 class. Take a peek at some talented athletes getting ready to tip it off come November.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1239284"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6aa8165da698c"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700"> A kid who can contribute in multiple ways. She's a solid rebounder who can also block shots. Offensively, she can stretch the floor, knocking down 3s as well as using her body to attack the rim. She will fit nicely and benefit from a solid FRA attack that enables her to flow within the offense and get many opportunities to score both inside and out. It will be interesting to see how she will be used. She has the height to battle inside, but the capabilities to light it up from the arc. She's a kid who is big time on the boards, but on the offensive end, knows how to establish her presence. She can finish over either shoulder, drop a counter move or two along the way, and step up in moments when her team needs a bucket or two. She's a part of a loaded Lady Patriots team looking to go deep into postseason contention. Look for her to sharpen her skills throughout the year and be ready for when her number is called. Determined. Another kid that's a dynamic guard coming through the Blackman Blaze program. A shifty guard who has handles that can put opponents on skates. Athletic, blessed with speed, she is a change-of-pace guard who is a downhill threat. I love her handles, her ability to facilitate the rock, and her ability to pick her spots on the floor to exploit. She brings a work ethic and mamba mentality into the fray. Talk about someone who gives her club an edge; this girl does just that. She's not a sleeper on the defensive end either. A disruptor who brings it every time she steps onto the floor. Look for her to contribute right away to this Blackman program. Bringing a workman's mentality into the fold, she is a do-it-all kid who just gets after it. A selfless ballplayer who is willing to do the dirty work, you better believe she is going to be on the boards, a part of 50/50 battles, and be a solid defender. Offensively, she can knock down the 3-ball efficiently and finish inside, exploiting the mid-range and getting to the rim. Selfless, she makes the right reads at the right time. A kid who can attack gaps to dump or dish, making the extra pass that her teammates score off of. She, too, can create for herself, knocking down perimeter shots or getting to the rim to finish. She's a hungry competitor who doesn't rest on the defensive side either. She's always in position to get steals that lead to transition buckets going the other way. Sharpening her skills on the circuit, look for her to introduce herself to the high school scene early.
