Film Study: Top Returning Prospects From The Corner Conference

She recorded over 325 points last Winter as a Sophomore throughout 24 games while her team went 17-7 overall. She also chipped in with over 7 RPG on both ends of the court as well. Crouse didn't just dominate the year last season within Conference - she did it efficiently and she helped her team win while doing so and that might matter more than anything else. Grindle was her group's starting SF last Winter as a Sophomore and she ended up leading the conference in total Rebounds with 225+. To give you an idea, the next highest player in total Rebounds behind Grindle for the season was right around 190. Other than Rebounding, Grindle also scored at a steady rate in the middle. She averaged just under 9 PPG and just under 10 RPG - giving her a pretty solid season together as a whole. If you take a deep dive into the stat leaders from this Conference from years past, Hardee's name comes up A LOT, in almost every positive statistical category. She especially excels in the Steals and Assists department at the CG position. Her stat line as a Junior was 9.5 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and 7 APG. Gohlinhorst took 5 Charges over her Junior year for Griswold High School. That might not seem like a lot but it was 2 more than next in line in this category last season and it comes out to around .25-.5 CPG, which again doesn't seem like a huge number but it is comparatively to others within this conference and throughout the state as a whole honestly. It always hard to account for players when they take Charges. That's how many [player_tooltip player_id='1869642' first='Brooklyn' last='Weldon'] ended up averaging as a Freshman. When you take into consideration that Weldon is a 5'5 PG/SG, this number opens your eyes a little bit more. Sometimes you have prospects that have an act for getting their hands on the ball and getting blocks because as they have grown up - they have understood timing within the game and when to look for the best moments to get a steal/block. Weldon is so impressive in the category that at times she will wait to time the block against another Guard who is looking to get downhill into the defense. She also showed up as a scoring threat, creator, and rebounder when the moments opened up last season. As long as Weldon can build off of what she has already set in place, she is going to be just fine moving into her Sophomore year at Fremont-Mills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
