Florida Sophomore ID Camp: Team 7 Evaluations

Team 7 had a collection of elite athletic guards, capable shooters, and some hardworking role players. The group played at a fast pace and attacked the basket all game long. Several players displayed advanced scoring ability, while others contributed through rebounding, communication, and ball movement. They were arguably the most talented squad in the building.    [player_tooltip player_id='1860728' first='Kimora' last='Marseille'] looked like an exceptional prospect and one of the most talented players on the court. Her quickness, explosiveness, and athleticism allowed her to repeatedly reach the rim and turn the game into a track meet in transition. She converted acrobatic finishes, created opportunities for teammates—including an excellent pass to a backdoor cutter—and even chased down plays to block shots in transition. Marseille made a strong impression earlier this year at the PGH tournament in Wellington and was even more dominant at the Sophomore ID Camp.     [player_tooltip player_id='1874775' first='Jordyn' last='Matherly'] brought strength and production from the power-forward position. She ran the floor, pursued offensive rebounds, and converted a putback after establishing good position inside. Her physicality, rebounding effort and post positioning made her effective around the basket.      [player_tooltip player_id='1835692' first='AC' last='Rice'] brought excellent energy and embraced the role of a workhorse in addition to handling the rock in rotation. She opened the action with a nice fadeaway jumper in transition, handled the ball comfortably, and applied defensive pressure by picking up opponents the full length of the court. Rice also passed the ball ahead, moved well without the ball, and hustled to save possessions, consistently making high IQ plays on the court.        [player_tooltip player_id='1229164' first='Grazia' last='Martin'] was highly effective in transition and repeatedly used her athleticism to attack the basket. She displayed her ball-handling ability by dribbling with her left hand, crossing over to her right and finishing at the rim. Martin also converted an athletic reverse finish and a left-handed baseline shot while showing good court vision with several passes ahead.     [player_tooltip player_id='1490954' first='Hannah' last='Palakkat'] played with poise and rarely appeared rushed. The guard handled the ball comfortably, showed a confident pull-up jumper and used her height to create mismatches and create deflections. Palakkat showed defensive versatility with her ability to cover guards on the perimeter and forwards in the paint. Palakkat also got out in transition and showed good mobility getting up and down the floor.     [player_tooltip player_id='1303553' first='Serena' last='Butler'] ran the floor well and displayed a smooth pull-up jumper from the midrange area. She consistently picked up opponents full court and pressured the ball. She also showed promising perimeter potential by knocking down an outside shot with an impressive shooting motion. Butler's overall game is still developing, and once she consistently brings the energy, she will impact multiple areas of the game.       [player_tooltip player_id='1874925' first='Kaitlyn' last='Frounder Toussaint'] made a strong impact with her movement and awareness on the court. She cut backdoor for a basket, and several times she flashed to the ball and scored twice. Toussaint also communicated well defensively and was willing to get her hands into passing lanes to deflect passes.     AJ Stegerman showed good height, creativity, and body control around the basket. She penetrated the defense for a pull-up jumper in the paint and later attacked the rim for a crafty reverse layup. Her ability to create and finish in traffic made her an intriguing offensive player.     [player_tooltip player_id='1261255' first='Harmony' last='Lee'] (cover) delivered one of the strongest performances of the game. The physical and athletic left-handed guard spaced the floor effectively, knocked down multiple three-pointers, including seven three-pointers in one game. Lee also showed the ability to pull up from both the midrange. She was equally impressive defensively, sprinting back in transition, rotating to protect the basket, and blocking a layup attempt. Lee's strength, shooting, craftiness, athleticism, CONFIDENCE, and charisma made her one of the most impressive prospects in the building.
