Inside Team 1 at The Expo

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Expo was the only fall event in the state dedicated to upperclassmen, bringing together some of the state's top players and others still working to gain more visibility. The competition stayed high throughout the event, giving players another chance to compete, get footage, and make an impression. Team 1 had one of the deepest teams in terms of talent. </h3>    Aggressive as they come. Koch uses her size to her advantage and knows how to absorb contact to finish when she gets there. From a facilitating standpoint, she keeps her eyes up and always seems ready to make the right read.     Another great reason why I enjoy these Expos is coming across talent like Murray. She has a great understanding of the game and plays with a certain pace. She keeps her head up and her eyes up, which lets her control the flow of the game. She has a different gear to her as well and knows when to use it. From a scoring standpoint, she can get to the rim just as well as she can stretch the floor.     A havoc to deal with on the court. On both ends, she approaches each possession with strong aggression. She plays with a physical edge and consistently makes her presence felt. A for sure stock riser.     Solid handle and uses her strength to get where she needs to go on the offensive end. Defensively, she has active hands and knows when to poke at the ball or gamble for a steal. She's mobile on both ends too. Very active on each possession.     Foster is another high energy player who can play at a high clip. She uses her strength to get to the rim and has a good feel for finishing when she gets there. Can score in the midrange as well. Her game should expand over time, and as it does, she'll be a major piece of her program's success.     On the defensive end of the floor, Brantley had most of her impact. She stayed in constant motion, never glued to one person, and knew how to react when she was in the help side position. Offensively, she can stretch the court.     Right place, right time type of kid. Reddington is very active and doesn't shy away from being physical. She can attack the rim and doesn't worry about who's waiting down there. Defensively, she creates havoc with that same physical approach. She doesn't mind the scuffle and will go after the 50/50 play every time.     A player who has shown major growth in her game over the years, her shooting touch has become one of her best skills. She lets it go with total confidence and doesn't need to be flashy to make an impact. She understands her role and fits into it naturally. One of the best shooters in the building.     Munson has high potential, and she has the right frame to be a legitimate top tier prospect in her class. On both ends, she showed how much of a problem she can be, and the offensive side of her game is extensive. If her aggression stays consistent and the ball handling gets stronger and sharper, she could be up for an all-state type of season.     She spent time at the guard position for her team and showed good aggression on defense as well. As her stamina improves and she gets quicker with her reads, her overall game should keep coming together. She has the tools to develop into a solid piece for her program.
