The Lockport product is off to a great start to her AAU season. Goda played with confidence throughout the weekend, and whenever she had the ball in her hands, she was clearly in attack mode. She did a nice job using a hesitation move to create angles and get downhill to the rim. While her overall game was impressive, her shooting ability really stood out. Goda knocked down threes both off the catch and off the dribble, making her a constant offensive threat. Her ability to space the floor also had a major impact, as help-side defenders often looked hesitant to fully commit because they didn’t want to leave her open. I expect Goda to receive a lot of attention this spring and summer because she looks ready to make a big-time impact.

Goda has been strong in all the roles she’s been utilized so far this season. Defensively, she knows how to box out and track down a rebound, and can hold her own on the perimeter. Offensively, that’s where she impacts the most; she’s not shy on shooting whatever passes come to her, but also has the IQ to pass it up for a better option.

Goda has shown more confidence in her play over the last year. Her skill set is very simple and on the ground, but she understands angles and how to beat her defender even without the footspeed. From beyond the arc, this kid doesn’t see a shot she doesn’t like.

Since the summer of last year Goda has continued to be on the radars of local and regional scouts from different outlets, and when you watch a couple games of hers in person, you understand why. She is fundamentally sound in a ton of ways, and she just continues to get better.

Goda did a while lot of everything during the showcase. She played relentlessly on both ends of the court. She does a great job of catching even the fastest, toughest passes. Great shooter and defender.
