Iron Sharpens Iron Elite Girls Basketball Experience: Orange Team

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>PrepGirlsHoops was honored to cover the 1st annual 2026 Iron Sharpens Iron Elite Girls Basketball Experience lead by Founder and Camp Director Tim Pettaway Jr., Co-Founder/Coach Tiffani Blackman, Mental Health Director Jonelle Massey, and Director of Athletic Experience Yolanda Richardson on Sunday, September 13th at Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio. The participants for this special fall event were hand-selected and put through a complete 3-day rigorous training regimen from the evening of Friday Sept. 11th through Sunday, Sept. 13th evening geared to preparing their bodies and minds for the intensity and feel of real-life college basketball!&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The weekend consisted of the girls experiencing a full-immersion into learning from industry-leading professionals about film study, offensive and defensive concepts, the importance of nutrition and body management, strength and conditioning training, mental wellness, NIL education, media, and leadership development.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The players that competed in Sunday's live play were the top young prospects in the Classes of 2027-2032 throughout Northwest Ohio, Columbus Ohio, and Michigan. She loves to get the ball out and push it in transition for easy scores. She has exceptional ballhandling and handles pressure very well when bringing the ball up. Love her natural feel! There is so much fight in this small guard when battling for the offensive rebound! Defensively, she is a natural pressure defender who loves to win her matchups! Loved seeing her pure energy and hustle to secure the boards and second chance opportunities for her team! Offensively, she uses good footwork to finish in the post and she sets very effective screens for her teammates. This sophomore plays the game with relentless energy and grit that you can't quite teach! She had a lot of nice offensive rebounds and putbacks for her team. She loves to get after it defensively, grabbing rebounds and looking to get out and push! Don't leave her open from deep. Very pure shooting stroke from behind the arc! She isn't afraid to let it fly from deep and be an offensive leader for her team! Pure stroke! Hayden Cymbolin plays with a great deal of heart and passion on the floor and it especially showed on the defensive end! Moving her feet and cutting off the driver full-court as a freshman? Wow! She is also a very smart guard who understands how to come off screens and recognizes when it's best for her to attack! Samariah Thomas played intense defense looking to force turnovers! Offensively, she is capable of getting open offensively and creating separation with her dribble. She converted her opportunities at the basket with strength when she got open.
