PGH Sophomore ID Camp: The best of Team 3

She is part of our evaluation team for all of the PGH Minnesota showcases this fall including the Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A former college player from St. Scholastica who played high school basketball at Pine Island, Paxyn has an excellent understanding of the game and what it takes to get seen and be recruited. At the Sophomore ID Camp, she showed up in a big way once again. Blending a sharp basketball IQ with a fierce competitive mindset, her game is built on solid fundamentals and sharp court sense. What truly sets her apart, though, is her presence on the floor. Throughout the day, Kiera's voice filled the gym, whether she was rallying teammates, boosting her own energy, or cheering from the bench. Sawyer's accuracy from deep never wavers, but what truly sets her apart is her relentless movement on offense. Backer is always working to free up her teammates for open shots. She's not only capable of relocating for the shot, but being the person passing the ball out to her teammates is something she excels at. At 5'10, Sawyer sets sturdy screens and slips to the basket for swift layups. No matter the setting, no matter the opponent, Koles will fight for every inch on the floor which is why she's one of the best defenders in the Class of 2029. When watching Koles, it's like your eyes are everywhere, because she is constantly moving, finding open areas of opportunity. When the ball is in her hands, she's going to knock down a sweet pull-up jump shot. Rose showed off her strong defensive IQ over the summer tournaments, and her intensity seems to keep on growing. Kalscheur's offensive game is unique in a way, where she has the height to reach over the top for a floater in the paint, but also can drain the three-point shot. Defensively, she simply does not let players get by her. Her level of defense just makes it difficult for anything in the paint to be open for opponents. Her size is obviously an asset in that regard. A top-20 prospect in the Class of 2029, Addison is a rock star when she's claiming space in the paint, giving her guards easy looks for the post-entry pass. From there her spin-move finish is money. On defense, Campion battles for her teammates, as well, by setting good screens, blocking off opponents, getting in a stance down low for boards, and finding her teammates on the arc for the three-point shot. Campion is a sturdy player and has the ability to protect the basket on defense while making it hers on offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
