[player_tooltip player_id='1901530' first='Zuri' last='Samuels'] is a guard who brings an immediate spark to the floor, but her impact goes well beyond energy and defensive pressure. She is an extremely quick and physical defender who isn't afraid of contact and can make life difficult for opposing guards from the opening possession. Whether she's pressuring the ball, jumping passing lanes or creating turnovers in the press, Zuri has a natural feel for disrupting an offense and turning defense into transition opportunities.

During the 5v5 games at the WA Freshman Showcase, Zuri really stood out as a floor general. She did an excellent job making sure the right players had the ball and consistently looked to get her teammates involved. She shares the ball well and uses ball screens effectively, reading the defense and making the right decision—either dishing to a teammate when help comes or attacking the basket herself. Zuri has the athleticism and speed to blow past defenders when she sees an opening, and her strength allows her to finish through contact and physicality at the rim. She plays with pace, showing a growing level of poise and composure as a lead guard.

What continues to impress me most is how much Zuri is developing. Each time I watch her, her basketball IQ appears stronger, and she is becoming more confident in her ability to lead and control the game. After a tremendous summer with the NW Greyhounds Adidas 3SSB program, she has continued to expand her offensive game, including the ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc and use her spin move to create opportunities inside.

Zuri's combination of defensive intensity, athleticism, strength, court vision, unselfish play and continued growth makes her one of the 2030 players I will be watching closely.

[player_tooltip player_id='800041' first='Aaliyah' last='Hall'] immediately stands out with her speed, competitiveness and energy on both ends of the floor. From the opening tip, she plays with a high motor and an attack mindset, putting pressure on the defense while competing hard defensively. Her quickness allows her to get downhill consistently, and she does an excellent job using her speed to create advantages and get to the basket.

Aaliyah is also a knockdown outside shooter with strong ball-handling ability, making her a difficult guard to contain because she can beat defenders in multiple ways. It's clear she puts in the work to continue developing her game, and that improvement shows in the details. She has a great pickup and Euro step that allows her to navigate through traffic, and she finishes extremely well around the basket—including a nice reverse layup in traffic that showcased both her athleticism and creativity.

Aaliyah's combination of speed, shooting, ball-handling and attacking mentality makes her an exciting two-way guard with plenty of upside to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1899870' first='Norah' last='Brock'] brings great size to the floor and is the type of player who consistently does the little things that help her team win. She is an extremely strong rebounder who understands how to use her size and positioning to create extra possessions for her team. Norah plays with a physical presence and isn't afraid to battle inside.

Offensively, Norah does a great job establishing position on the block and making herself available around the basket. She is comfortable playing with her back to the basket and has the ability to make moves from the post once she gets position. Her size, rebounding ability and willingness to do the work inside make Norah a valuable interior presence and a player to watch as she continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='1276156' first='Lauren' last='Ladd'] is a strong point guard who brings quickness, athleticism and toughness to both ends of the floor. She has the speed and explosiveness to get downhill and attack the rim, and she does a good job finishing once she gets there. What also stands out is her willingness to contribute in areas that can sometimes be missing from young guards. Lauren rebounds well, competes defensively and brings a physicality that allows her to impact the game beyond scoring and ball-handling.

Lauren continues to make strides with her basketball IQ and is becoming more consistent at recognizing opportunities to create for her teammates. She pushes the ball in transition and attacks the rim before the defense can get set. She also puts in the work on her offensive game, particularly her mid-range jumper. When she gets past her defender, she does a nice job pulling up for a controlled shot rather than always forcing her way into traffic. Her combination of athleticism, defensive toughness, developing court vision and growing scoring arsenal makes Lauren an intriguing young point guard to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1696859' first='Emmerie' last='Walcolm'] is a true all-around player who has the ability to impact the game at multiple levels. I watched Emmerie throughout much of the summer on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, where she consistently produced double-doubles and showed just how versatile her game can be. She is an outstanding rebounder with a natural ability to anticipate where the ball is going, and those same instincts translate to the defensive end, particularly in the press. Emmerie reads passing lanes extremely well and can quickly turn a defensive play into a transition opportunity.

What continues to stand out is Emmerie's willingness to take on whatever role her team needs. She can run the floor as a floor general, handle the ball and create for teammates, but she is equally comfortable stepping into a defensive role when her team needs a stop or battling for a crucial rebound. Whatever the team needs, she's going to do what it takes to win. During the 5v5 games at the WA Freshman Showcase, she showed her versatility on her team consistently grabbing defensive boards and pushing the ball to the middle to find her teammates running the lane, helping her team to share the ball and work together. Her continued development as a ball-handler and scorer has added even more versatility to her game. She can use her quickness to attack taller defenders, get downhill and finish at the rim, while also continuing to expand her perimeter game. Emmerie has been putting work into her mid-range game and is becoming more comfortable knocking down jumpers, while also showing the ability to make shots from beyond the arc.

Emmerie is a true competitor who plays with the size, athleticism and versatility to impact winning in a variety of ways. Her combination of basketball IQ, instincts, competitiveness and ability to fill whatever role her team needs gives her the tools to play at the next level and makes her one of the most talented all-around players to watch in the 2030 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1870550' first='Ella' last='McClain'] has a really high ceiling thanks to her combination of athleticism, quickness and natural feel for the game. She plays with good instincts and an understanding of how to contribute without needing to be the focal point. Ella is unselfish with the ball and does a nice job making plays that benefit her teammates, showing a maturity in her game that stands out.

Her quickness is especially valuable on the defensive end, where she has the ability to stay in front of other athletic, fast-moving players. She also uses her athleticism and timing to block shots and make plays around the basket. Offensively, Ella does a great job getting downhill and using her speed to create advantages for herself and her teammates, utilizing pick-ups and Euro steps to the basket. She also does a great job of moving without the ball, cutting to the basket after she passes, and finishing inside. When she creates a defensive opportunity, she can immediately turn it into offense by pushing the ball in transition and using her athleticism to attack.

Ella's athleticism, quickness, defensive versatility, basketball instincts and unselfish style give her significant upside as she continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='1895281' first='Ava' last='Wheeler'] is a great team player who plays with poise, composure and control. She rarely forces the game and does an excellent job taking care of the ball and maintaining possession offensively. Ava consistently makes the extra pass and looks for ways to get her teammates involved, showing a team-first mentality that can have a big impact on winning.

Defensively, Ava works hard and brings consistent effort on every possession. She also runs the floor well, finding the open lane and putting herself in position to contribute in transition. When given an opportunity on the perimeter, Ava can knock down shots from three-point range, adding another dimension to her offensive game. Her combination of poise, unselfish play, defensive effort and shooting ability makes Ava the type of player every team benefits from having on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875329' first='Lucia' last='Lawrence'] is a long, athletic two-way player who brings consistent effort and activity to both ends of the floor. She works hard defensively and uses her length and athleticism to make an impact, while showing a natural knack for finding the ball when it comes off the rim. Lucia is an active rebounder who does a good job pursuing the ball and creating extra opportunities for her team.

Offensively, Lucia does a nice job getting inside and using her athleticism and length to create scoring opportunities. She has the ability to get into the paint and pull up for a jumper over interior defenders, making her difficult to challenge once she gets into the right areas. Her combination of length, athleticism, defensive effort and developing offensive versatility makes Lucia an intriguing two-way player to watch.

GG Harris stood out as a competitor from the moment she stepped on the court at the WA Freshman Showcase. She brings a toughness and mental edge to the game that immediately catches your attention, particularly on the defensive end. GG does not shy away from challenging players who are significantly taller than her and uses her physicality and positioning to make their jobs difficult. She does an excellent job keeping post players off the block, fighting for position and consistently boxing out to secure rebounds.

That same physicality translates to the offensive end, where GG is willing to battle for every possession. She crashes the offensive glass, creates second-chance opportunities and finishes putbacks around the basket. She also does a good job using her strength to bump defenders and work her way into scoring positions. GG's competitive mentality, physical toughness and willingness to battle against bigger players make her the type of player who brings an undeniable edge and intensity to the floor.
