2027 Updated Rankings: Risers

As the 2027 class continues to develop, this past spring and summer gave us a clearer look at some players who've made significant strides in their games. Several prospects have seen their stock rise thanks to strong grassroots performances, improved skill sets, and growing leadership roles heading into the high school season.

Here are some of the names that stood out and moved up in the 2027 rankings.

After her recent commitment to Regis University, Potter looks stronger and even more confident as she prepares for the next level. I expect Brianna to have a very good senior season at [program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep']. She'll also benefit from playing under a coaching staff with recent college coaching experience, which should help prepare her even more for what she'll see at the next level. Look for Potter to continue making strides throughout her senior campaign.

Polk may be Arizona's biggest stock risers over the past calendar year. The athletic forward has really settled in since arriving in the Valley and is showing everyone why schools like the University of New Orleans, where she recently committed, were high on her list. Her athleticism allows her to impact games on both ends of the floor, and she's become much more comfortable with her overall game. I expect Lydia to continue turning heads during her senior season.

Coming off recent college offers, Neal-Tiffany looks to close out a very solid high school career. The senior guard may not be asked to carry as much of the offensive load this season, but she'll still play a very important role for a nationally ranked Millennium squad. Her tough on-ball defense, nonstop motor, and workhorse mentality stand out every time I watch her play. She's the type of player who doesn't have to score a lot of points to make her presence felt.

Chief is coming off a very good summer and looks ready to help lead Catalina Foothills into what could be a big season. The senior forward has really improved her overall game, from her scoring and passing ability to her leadership on the floor. She's become a more complete player and someone her team can lean on in different situations.

Woodberry returns for her senior season as one of the state's better floor generals. She's coming off a productive summer in which she picked up additional college offers, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that list continue to grow. What I like about Malia is her ability to run a team and make the players around her better. She understands the point guard position and has a good feel for the game. Look for her to build on her summer success and continue attracting college attention throughout the season.

Williams will be counted on to shoulder more of the scoring load for Highland this upcoming season, and I don't see that being much of a problem for the talented senior point guard. Bailey is coming off a summer that saw her pick up multiple college offers, and her confidence should keep growing heading into the season. She's shown that she can handle the responsibility of running the offense while also being a scoring threat. I expect Williams to have a very good senior campaign for the Hawks as she looks to finish her high school career on a high note.
