Williams is coming off a huge quarterfinal performance against Mountain View. She was aggressive, confident, and she made winning plays. For Highland to knock off the defending champs, she’ll need a similar outing. When she’s attacking downhill and knocking down perimeter shots, it opens everything up for the Hawks. The question isn’t whether she can do it — she already showed she can. The question is whether she can replicate it against Hamilton’s discipline and length.

Highland’s ceiling is directly tied to Williams. True three-level scoring ability. Good handle. Very good passer. Can orchestrate or take over. She plays under control and makes smart reads. If she’s aggressive but efficient, Highland can make a real push.

Williams had an excellent showing from start to finish. She shot the ball at a high rate and rebounded extremely well from the point guard position. Her confidence and consistency stood out, and she continues to make a strong case for being one of the most improved players in the state. Williams’ upward trajectory is very real.

The floor general came out hot in the opening period, scoring 9 of her 14 points in the opening quarter. She was able to get to the mid-range and the rim very effectively. Her playing time was limited due to foul trouble.

Williams was in the gym just locked in on both ends of the floor. One thing that you will get from her for sure is her communication. Willams is a voice you can hear clearly out there. She some impressive off the bounce jumpers at 15-feet and she was also doing her thing beyond the arc. A lot to be excited about moving forward with her. Williams will be a must watch player.
