With the upcoming high school season just over the horizon, that means it's time for a rankings update. First published last October, the PGH Minnesota Class of 2029 rankings has grown from its original 50 to a new total of 110 college prospects from across the state. Yesterday we took a look at the players who have raised their stock in recent months. Now it's time to take a look at the 15 prospects who are entering the rankings for the first time, beginning with the guards.

Like many players from Perham, the 5'5 guard is a highly efficient sharpshooter from beyond the arc. In addition to her ability to shoot the three, Quinn is a skilled passer and playmaker who excels at handling the ball under heavy pressure from the defense.
Following a strong summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712699' first='Minnesota' last='Rise'] Heiderscheidt, Swanson really stood out to us last month at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. A quick, defensive-minded guard with a high degree of basketball intelligence, Hadley has gotten significantly stronger, giving her a physical advantage over many players her size. With her sisters Jacey Swanson and Journey Swanson having graduated and gone off to play at Dakota Wesleyan, the St. James sophomore will have plenty of opportunity to use her defensive versatility and stellar three-point shooting to make an impact for the Saints this season. She enters the rankings at #85 in the class.

While she may not be a household name, Keating is a player who has been on our radar for a number of years now. With a high-intensity, scrappy approach on the defensive end, the 5'6 guard is pretty much impossible to miss. While she really shines as a defender, Rose applies the same flat-out effort to all areas of her game. She gets to the rim consistently, is effective as a playmaker, and rebounds very well for her position. In her freshman season at Minneapolis Southwest, she averaged more than 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game. Keating comes in at #100.

The significant growth in McFadden's game was blatantly obvious to us last month when we watched her at the Sophomore ID Camp. Clearly, the 5'4 combo guard has been putting the work in. A smooth and confident shooter who can just as easily run the offense, Mia's skill as a passer and ball handler, as well as her consistently sound decision making all stood out to us at the showcase. Already a member of Maranatha's varsity rotation, there will be plenty of opportunity for McFadden to step into a bigger role with the Mustangs this season. She joins the rankings at #101.

Koenigs made a big splash at last month's Sophomore ID Camp, impressing our scouts with her seemingly limitless energy and outstanding work ethic on both ends of the floor. Standing at 5'5, Brynlee is a gritty and confident point guard who impacts the game in nearly every aspect. She handles the ball with ease under pressure, is a skilled passer, and can score the ball in a variety of ways. In her freshman season at Southland, Koenigs averaged an impressive 12 points and 12 rebounds, dominating the floor for the Rebels. She enters the rankings at #102 in the sophomore class.

Already a consistent varsity-level performer for Lakeview in her freshman season, Jorgenson made her mark with the [program_tooltip program_id='712699' first='Minnesota' last='Rise'] this summer and impressed our scouts at last month's showcase. The 5'7 guard is quick and crafty with the ball, and brings a non-stop work ethic each time she steps on the court. Addyson is a vocal presence on defense, aggressive on every possession, always bounces back from mistakes by working even harder. Her assertive attitude and fundamentally sound skillset will be major assets for the Lakers this winter. Jorgenson comes into the rankings at #103.

Johnson put together an impressive body of work this summer, lighting up the scoreboard week after week for the [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'] 2029 Bluestar squad. The 5'10 guard plays with a great deal of speed, elevates over defenders with ease, and has plenty of length – all of which give her a significant athletic advantage. On top of that, Ingrid shines as a downhill scorer and perimeter defender, and is a relentless force on the glass. Coming from a program with as much depth as Minnetonka, we likely won't see Johnson at the varsity level quite yet. Nonetheless, the Skippers sophomore is a quality college prospect. She joins the rankings at #106.
