Koenigs made a big splash at last month’s Sophomore ID Camp, impressing our scouts with her seemingly limitless energy and outstanding work ethic on both ends of the floor. Standing at 5’5, Brynlee is a gritty and confident point guard who impacts the game in nearly every aspect. She handles the ball with ease under pressure, is a skilled passer, and can score the ball in a variety of ways. In her freshman season at Southland, Koenigs averaged an impressive 12 points and 12 rebounds, dominating the floor for the Rebels. She enters the rankings at #102 in the sophomore class.

Koenigs (pictured above) had to be the biggest breakout star at Sunday’s event. The 5’5 guard plays with boundless energy and an unrelenting work ethic that had her turning heads all afternoon. Despite being one of the smallest players on the court, Brynlee’s impact was immeasurable. She handled the ball with confidence and poise, easily blew past her defenders with a burst of speed, and showed flashes of great playmaking. On the defensive end, Koenigs guarded the ball with a gritty, tenacious attitude and rebounded remarkably well for a player of her size. Underlined in my notes was the phrase, “off the charts effort”, which just about sums up the Southland sophomore’s game.
