212 Elite: Unlock Your Edge Elite Combine Standouts Pt 3

Prep Girls Hoops covered the 212 Elite: Unlock Your Edge Elite Combine on Sunday, October 4th featuring professional coach Reid Ouse at the Bulldog Activity Center in Canton, Ohio. The participants were prospects throughout the Classes of 2031-2027 who participated in skill workouts and live play throughout the afternoon. In this article, I will breakdown and evaluate my third list of standouts from the event on Sunday afternoon!

Katelyn gives you the energy and effort required to win on both ends. [player_tooltip player_id='1305522' first='Katelyn' last='Randulic'] has good positional size paired with high-end lateral quickness and an impressive motor. She got after her matchup defensively, forcing a backcourt turnover and immediately looked to score in transition! Solid all-around scorer who can be a catalyst late in games. I was impressed with what I saw overall from the senior guard and she's certainly someone I will keep an eye on this year at Perry!

Jenna has good positional size and a solid ability to create her own shot. She used a quick behind the back crossover to create a strong step-back jumper in the midrange on Sunday. Jenna Festi has good mechanics with a solid wingspan. I like her defensive motor to go after boards. Certainly a player I'm going to be watching this coming season at Dover!

I'm intrigued from what I'm seeing early from Lucy Schlabach. She has a natural motor and is a quick facilitator for her age. Sees the floor well! Her shooting from the perimeter is also a strength as she gets her shot off quickly with a high release. Lucy is a skilled guard who plays with a good level of confidence for her age and is a great teammate. As she continues to put in the work and grow, I could see her carving out a nice role at Hiland in the future!

Peyton overcomes her small stature with her ability to put unrelenting pressure on the rim as a ball handler. She continued to be in the middle of every play for her team at Sunday's combine! [player_tooltip player_id='1826994' first='Peyton' last='Jones'] has a quick first step getting downhill and finishing at the basket. She isn't afraid of getting physical with her matchup and making winning plays. Huge competitor! I thought her three pointer was solid as well and she made the most of her opportunities. This 8th grader overcomes her physical limitations by just being a pure grinder. You want Jones on your team!

An 8th grader who plays the game with pure joy! [player_tooltip player_id='1921435' first='Leah' last='Cobb'] blends high-effort with her natural defensive instincts. She is also a crafty ball handler and finisher insider for her age. A young guard who has the natural tools and motor to become special! I'm interested in watching how she progresses and improves in time throughout her high school career at Wadsworth!
