695Hoops Fall League Stock Risers

The 695Hoops Fall league featured closed to 30 teams at three locations over an almost two-month period. Some teams played weekly with others dropping in occasionally for some bump. Needless to say, my notebook is full and I'll be sharing some of my thoughts over a few pieces in the next few days. Here are some players who definitely raised their profile.

Samaiya has played well throughout the fall league. She's a crafty ball handler and has given her team another option to initiate offense and set the table for others. She has shown off her ability to score off the dribble and has been igniting fast breaks. I expect a big season from her this winter.

I was very impressed with the court vision and versatility I saw from Erin. She hunted her own shots when she had an advantage but also set her teammates up. She was able to create space using screens and her ball handling skills. She's a good athlete and showed off some good footwork on defense.

Destiny showed off her full skill set in her team's appearance at Pikesville High for a showcase game. The quick and shifty guard scored at all three levels, consistently beating defenders off the dribble and finishing at the rim. When she wasn't blowing by defenders she was hitting pull up jumpers or three pointers. She has good upper body strength which she used to punish defenders with some physical play around the basket. Defensively she was active and ignited several fast breaks with steals and rebounds. I like how she kept her head up at all times and advanced the ball with several long, accurate outlet passes that led to easy buckets.

Aggressive frontcourt player with legit size. Eden was active around the basket, showing off good hands and some nice footwork. She attacked the glass and every time she was guarded one on one she immediately went to the basket. She showed off her range by stepping out of the paint and knocking down a three pointer as well.

Kelsey has grown and looks like a legitimate D1 prospect. She's been a match up nightmare in a few of the games I saw. Her size allows her to get her shot off against most defenders, and she's skilled enough to create space with her ball handling and quickness. She has deep range on her shot and has been doing a good job in running the team's offense. She should have a breakout season in Howard County.
