These young ladies stood out with their play and I look forward to seeing them all play again.

Chanel was very impressive at the All American On The Rise Top 100 camp. When I talked with her after one of her games I was very surprised to find out she was just a 2030. Chanel is a powerful kid at 5'8, but moves like the wind especially pushing the basketball in transition. She finished really well around the basket and her footwork was excellent. Not only was she able to get around and go over defenders, but Spencer plays off two feet which college coaches really love. She weaved her way in and out of traffic before finishing smoothly at the rim on multiple occasions. I would imagine she would be ranked very high when Tennessee's 2030 rankings are released.

Foster can really handle the basketball and was able to get past her defender routinely whether it was on the wing or at the top of the key. Sasha is another kid who knows where the weight room is and knows how to utilize the strength she has to hold off defenders when handling the basketball and finish through contact at the rim. I can't understate how impressive Foster was getting downhill and attacking the basket. She also showed high basketball intelligence with her play without the ball, cutting to the basket, setting on and off ball screens, and attacking the offensive glass. I really liked the way she played the game.

Benford was hard to miss at nearly six feet tall and handling the basketball like a guard in the station session and when the players got out and played full-court games. Zariyah was calm, cool, and collected with the basketball, pushing the pace in transition as well as initiating the offense in the half-court. She shot the ball well from the perimeter and did a nice job finishing around the basket. Benford had a high release point with good form and follow-through, and that combined with her height and length enabled her to easily get shots off and over smaller defenders. There is a lot to like about her skill set to go with the size and she is just a sophomore. She could emerge as a big time player in the Volunteer State over the next three years.

Northern was one of the best post players at the camp on the offensive end scoring the basketball. I was really impressed with her effort sprinting out on the break where she was rightly rewarded with several uncontested baskets at the rim. When Northern received the basketball with a defender on her, she quickly went to work in the post with one or two dribbles, good shoulder and shot fakes, and excellent footwork before putting the ball in the basket. If you blinked you might have missed it Northern was so quick getting her shot off and the defense did not have time to react. She played well using her pivot foot in the post. I really enjoyed watching Ramzy operate in the painted area. She played with a maturity and patience beyond her years.

Olivya was another member of the 2030 class who stood out very early on in the day. I can honestly say I am not sure what her best position will be in four years, but Jones showed the ability to play competently and effectively on both the interior and perimeter on Sunday. She has the ball-handling ability, quickness, and shot-making ability from the outside to play as a wing. Olivya, with that great size and length, was also a mismatch when operating on the block being defended by smaller guards. Whatever position Jones ends up playing primarily, I expect her to have a very solid high school career with options to play on the next level in college. She impacted the game in other ways, not just scoring.
