Morrow, Godfrey, Senior Guards Turning Heads

Here are five senior guards who are making noise and looking to finish their high school careers strong.

Aubrey is a confident ball handler who does a good job bringing the ball up the floor and setting up her team's offense. She has a nice pull-up jumper from mid-range and uses a step-back to create separation and get to her spot. Aubrey stays patient and poised against pressure and makes smart reads when playing out of pick-and-roll action.

Evie makes an impact on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she shows good anticipation and does a nice job jumping into passing lanes to create steals. Evie is also a good three-point shooter off the dribble, including pulling up in transition when defenders give her space. Without the ball, she moves well along the perimeter to find open spots for catch-and-shoot opportunities.

Hailee is an extremely shifty ball handler with a strong crossover that can create a lot of separation from defenders. She also has good footwork around the basket, highlighted by a nice spin move in the paint. Hailee sees the floor well and makes sharp passes to set up teammates for easy baskets. Her quick release also allows her to get her three-point shot off quickly.

Ciara is a strong finisher who does a good job playing through contact and using her body to protect the ball around the rim. She is also a good spot-up shooter from three-point range. Ciara moves well without the ball, cutting behind the defense for easy scoring opportunities, and she makes good reads as a passer out of pick-and-roll action.

Jazzlyn is a versatile three-point shooter who can knock down shots both off the catch and off the dribble. She is also a crafty finisher around the basket. Jazzlyn brings a lot of effort to both ends and does a great job competing on the glass, often securing rebounds despite playing guard.
