Offseason Radar Watch Region 8-4A

We are now at the end of the offseason evaluation of the class of 4A, looking at Region 8. With that, here are five players in Region 8-4A that people should be aware of before the start of the 2026-2027 school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='821997' first='Zaria' last='Moss'] is one of the highest players ranked in her class right now, and she should further prove that ranking in her senior season.

Moss has a great scoring game inside the arc and a few feet outside of it. She can get to scoring spots in that range consistently with her controlled crossovers and fancy footwork that helps her create separation from defenders. She can make reverse layups, touch floaters, and short spot-up jumpers in that area.

Moss is also a standout defender. She is able to read the body movement of other players well, helping her get steals often and blocks on the perimeter when she sees her opponent is starting to go into a jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='818215' first='Danae' last='Kennedy']has a crafty game at 6'0". That should continue to allow her to be one of the best players in her 2027 class in the upcoming school season.

Kennedy has a jumper with both a high relase point and arc. The combo of those two traits and her height makes her shot difficult to defend and gives her more scoring opportunities than the typical SG. Kennedy also can create off the dribble. Combining that with long strides allows her to be a good scoring threat in the painted area.

Kennedy is also a great passer. When her teammate makes a cut, she is able to throw an accurate pass. Whether it be a bounce pass or a chest pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='821985' first='Kierra' last='Baldwin']'s relentless scoring ability should make for her having an impressive senior season.

Baldwin is at her best when she is attacking the basket. She has a number of moves, in-and-out crossover, euro step, spin move, that she can utilize to be successful scoring on the drive. She also can score through contact, making her extra effective. Baldwin's ability to read the defense on her drives makes her especially good. She is able to analyze the floor and see where the defense shifts. That allows her to locate open teammates while in the midst of attacking the basket on the dribble.

Baldwin also has the ability to knock down perimeter jump shots, and can do so from well behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1239817' first='Anniya' last='Bailey']'s dynamic game should make her one of the most elite PGs in TN again in her senior season.

Bailey is a conductor at the PG position. She has elite dribbling skills that allow her to evade persistent double teams and help defense. When those actions get thrown her way, she does a great job of consistently making the right read.

Bailey is also a high-level perimeter shooter who can score off the dribble or off of catch-and-shoot actions. She is also good at relocating after making a pass, which sometimes generates her open 3-point shot attempts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1154969' first='Caidyn' last='Sanders'], with her aggressive scoring skill set, is set up to make some real noise in her junior season.

Sanders is a skilled driver who can still find scoring angles even when multiple defenders hold up their arms for a contest. She also creates more scoring opportunities than the average guard. That is because she can drive just as effectively going to the left side of the basket as she can going right.

Sanders is also a consistent 3-point shooting threat in every game she plays.
