Floor Leader and Quick Guard . Kierra started showing her impact before the game started. During warm up, she vocally held her teammates accountable by instructing where they should be in the pregame warmup drill. She started the game with the first steal. Then almost stole the ball on the following possession. Later in the game, after an offensive rebound off of a free throw, she drained a three pointer from the wing. Then another 3 from the top of the key the following possession.

1000 Points Scorer. The game didn’t tip off until after the junior was celebrated for scoring over 1000 career points. Then right after tip off she had a quick trip to the bench for getting 2 early fouls. She sat on the bench for the rest of the quarter. At the end of the 3rd quarter and with her team down by 4, she only had 1 point and had missed all 5 of her shot attempts. The 4th quarter a switch went off inside. She started the quarter with back to back steal ands conversions. As a matter of fact, she had 4 steals in the 4th and 1 in overtime. She also went 4 for 4 from the free throw line and finished the game with 16 points. She is a tough defender and a vocal leader. I was very impressed by how she talked to and encouraged her teammate after getting a technical foul.

Combo Guard.This was my first time watching Kierra play. She is one of the most intense players I have ever watched. She is like a hunter looking for prey. She wants to line up against the biggest post player on the opposing team during a free throw. She hunts out of area rebounds. As the game went on, her intensity increased. She gets her hands on balls playing in the front of the press. She will explode into the paint from transition. She can knock down the 3.

This kid was primed and ready to compete against White Station. She dropped 18 points and led the Wolverines to victory. She was active on both ends of the floor as her hustle and effort were on display. This heady ball player found gaps to exploit and finished plays on both ends of the floor. Look for her to help make some noise come tournament time for her ball club.
