Janiyah is a wing who attacks with purpose and can put points on the board. She runs the floor, slashes to the cup, and uses her craftiness to finish around the basket. Her game creates fouls because she is willing to enter traffic and make defenders deal with her penetration. She also brings energy to the glass and makes hustle plays, giving her ways to help her team beyond scoring. I was impressed with how she kept her composure when the games got physical as she was being held and fouled hard but it not take her attention away from the next possession. Her activity level is valuable and as she pairs that with her attacking mentality, and response to adversity she is a young prospect with a maturing floor game.

Aubree is a small lead guard with handles, a three ball, and the willingness to challenge length in the paint. She does not let bigger defenders keep her from getting downhill. Her willingness to get into the heart of the defense is a vital piece to her game and paired with her perimeter shot gives the defense options that they must account for when the ball is in her hands as she can threaten outside and put the rock on the floor to generate paint touches. For Aubree because of her size right now, the next layer is choosing the right answer once help arrives. Attacking size takes confidence; consistently beating it takes good decisions. Knowing when to finish, stop for an available shot, or deliver the next pass will help Aubree turn her aggressive mindset into better possessions. Her ball skill and willingness to compete give her something to build around.

Sakaya is a combo guard who brings shiftiness to her downhill attack where she did a good job throughout the day putting constant pressure on the defense. She is really good at changing direction off the bounce and she uses that movement to challenge defender's balance before turning the corner and getting to the cup. She is difficult to contain and defenders who stepped up to the challenge consistently found out just how tough she is to contain. The next step is making the advantage count by staying under control, varying her pace, and recognizing the help quicker will allow Sakaya to get more from her dribble creation. She does not need every move to be faster or more complicated. Connecting her shiftiness to a decisive next action can make her downhill attack more productive.

Chaniya has a useful blend of footwork, perimeter shooting, and dribble penetration off the bounce. The three ball gives defenders a reason to come out, and her willingness to attack of the bounce gives her a way to challenge the attention given her. For a small guard, having both options matters. She can make a defender account for the shot while remaining ready to put the rock on the floor. Her footwork is an important part of her offensive package once she gets into the heart of the defense, as she creates space for her shot or the pass. The next step is connecting her feet, handle, and decisions so she can take advantage of an opening before it closes. Chaniya can get more from her tools by being decisive: take the available shot, attack the space, or keep the possession moving.

Sabrie is a lead guard whose quickness off the bounce gives her a way to challenge the first defender. She is good at using her burst to attack openings and force reactions. As Sabrie learns to connect her burst to her next action by changing speeds, keeping the dribble under control, and recognizing where the help is coming from will make her quickness more effective. Her goal has to be learning how to arrive in a position to make a play. Learning when to accelerate and when to slow down can help her get more out of her speed.

Bria is a small PG with a good feel for the lead guard position and a relentless competitive nature. She initiated the offense, generated paint touches, and put pressure on the rim. Her ability to change speeds, along with end-to-end quickness and craftiness off the bounce, made her attack more difficult to time and contain. She also showed three-ball value and craftiness as a finisher. She may be small but she plays with passion on both ends of the floor. Her feisty approach carried over to the defensive end as post players had to remain aware of her because she hunted the rock when it was brought low. That alertness gave her a way to affect possessions against bigger players. Potential scorers in transition even had to be aware of her as she did not quit on any play, and ran down opponents and swiped the ball away. Continuing to balance her aggression with control and sound decisions will be important as she develops. Bria showed a promising mix of feel, competitiveness, and offensive creation, with the willingness to stay involved on both ends. I love watching small guards compete and she became one of my favorites throughout the day.
