Over the past few weeks, I've spent time checking out some of the local talent around the Tampa Bay area at the ENG Fall League, Hillsborough County Basketball Showcase, and XBL. With plenty of talent on display, here are some of the players who stood out during that action at the Hillsborough County Basketball Showcase:

AJ plays with a high motor and consistently makes plays on both ends of the floor. She drove hard to draw a foul and get to the free throw line, then showed some craft with a left-handed finish at the rim. She also dove on the floor for a loose ball and created turnovers with her activity. AJ plays hard, competes for every possession and finds ways to impact the game beyond scoring.

Skylar showed good feel at the Hillsborough Country Showcase as a Class of 2030 prospect to continue monitoring in the Tampa Bay area. She knocked down a floater in the paint, pushed the pace in transition, and consistently got downhill with the dribble. She showed the ability to finish in traffic and ran the floor well, including an off-foot finish at the rim in transition. Skylar's ability to play with pace and attack downhill makes her an intriguing young prospect to keep an eye on.

Sophia showed a solid all-around game throughout the showcase event. She knocked down a corner three off the catch with good form and made a timely bounce pass in a 2-on-1 transition opportunity. She also showed the ability to attack the rim and finish through traffic. Sophia communicated well throughout the event and stayed engaged on both ends of the floor.

Kristina showed a strong blend of athleticism and skill throughout the showcase. She used a power dribble to get to the rim and finished strong with her left hand. She showed good vision as a passer and consistently made the right reads with the ball. Her athleticism and bounce stood out as she attacked the boards on both ends as well. Defensively, she competed with active hands by creating tips and deflections while showing good anticipation.

Autumn showed a nice stroke from three and knocked down shots with confidence. She used her length and frame to make an impact around the basket, including a strong left-handed finish through traffic for an and-one. She also did a good job crashing the offensive glass and coming away with boards and second chance opportunities for her team. Autumn's combination of size, length, and shooting ability gives her plenty to work with moving forward.

Maggie was the best player in the gym at the Hillsborough County Showcase. She consistently attacked the middle and paint, getting to two feet and finishing with control. She knocked down a corner three and followed it up with another for back-to-back threes. She also showed her ability to create for others, driving the lane and kicking to a teammate for another three while delivering a sharp assist over the top of the defense. Defensively, she had back-to-back blocks, including an impressive help-side rejection that flew out of bounds. Maggie dominated stretches of the game with her scoring, playmaking and defensive impact.
