Team Previews- Bellbrook

The 2026-27 girls basketball season in Ohio begins in about a month, and us here at PGH Ohio will be taking a look at several teams as we preview programs over the next month and beyond.

I will be handling SW and NW Ohio, and I'm going to start my series of previews with a team that has really established themselves as one of the best in Ohio, the Bellbrook Golden Eagles.

KEY IMPACT PLAYERS

Leading the way for this powerful team is the floor general and the one who makes everything go. Libby is a point guard who is in command at all times, she runs her offense perfectly and not only is she able to direct traffic, distribute the ball and run the show, she can score in multiple ways and she has several D1 offers. She's the top player in her league and looks to bring home another league title this year.

Often overlooked, this young lady has a lot of skill and can play at the next level. She's already proven that, now she's ready to go out as a senior and leave it on the line. Long athletic and lanky, she can score inside or out, excellent defender and plays with energy. Expect her to move up at our next update.

As a freshman last season, Caroline made her presence felt whenever she took the floor. Now as a sophomore, she's more poised, focused, and ready to be a good leader. Solid defender, can play a physical game if needed or step out with finesse and score in multiple ways. Can run the floor and I expect her impact to be greater than last year with another year under her belt.

Her skill set continues to rise and just like Caroline, this sophomore is going to see her impact grow with the Golden Eagles this season. She does an outstanding job at pushing tempo, she has excellent court vision and can make the right pass at the right time. Good handles, smooth shooter, and a kid who I think is going to see her contributions be much bigger this season.

SLEEPER TO WATCH

Macy may be considered a sleeper, but she's extremely talented as she has shown in the spring and summer with her travel club. Super agile and great athleticism, she's able to score in the paint with good footwork and a solid finish. She has a high IQ and high energy, which allows her to be a factor at both ends of the floor. Bellbrook is already going to be loaded as it is, and this young lady is going to be a big piece of it.

Bellbrook has an incredibly tough non-conference schedule, playing the likes of Purcell Marian, Olmsted Falls, Mount Notre Dame, Tippecanoe, Bishop Hartley, Ryle (KY) and Bolingbrook (IL).
