Team Previews- Ursuline

The Ursuline Fighting Irish finished their 2025-26 season 11-11 competing independently in Division III. Despite finishing 50.0% they had a very difficult schedule and were tested against many of the best private schools and schools in the Youngstown area. The best wins for the Fighting Irish came against Austintown-Fitch on the road 46-42 and against Garfield 53-52 in the Holiday Hoops Showcase at South Range High School. Ursuline had a very deep rotation last year and a number of younger players get minutes and emerge in starting roles. The Fighting Irish graduated three players but brought in some transfers and have a couple players in the Class of 2029 that look to have a lot of potential. Let's take a look at the key players to watch and a few sleepers that look to have big impacts for the 2026-27 Ursuline Fighting Irish!

Key Returners

[player_tooltip player_id='1256791' first='Trinity' last='Finnie'] is an electrifying, high-level talent who can take over a basketball game in multiple ways. Trinity plays with a competitive edge that separates her from the rest. Whether she's attacking the basket, creating for teammates, or making game-changing plays, Trinity is a special talent with a tremendous ceiling. A true difference-maker whose game speaks for itself.
