The talent was evenly divided between the teams at the showcase, each full of players who should have the opportunity to play on the next level in college. [player_tooltip player_id='1105842' first='Paisley' last='Collins'] held down the paint while her teammates showed the skill and ability that they have individually and collectively on the perimeter. This team played particularly well together for the first time, spreading the ball around so everyone could shine. I expect several of these players to lead their high school teams when games start in about a month.

Addie ran the point position for the majority of the day during five versus five and looked excellent doing so. Her first step covers a lot of ground and is very quick which had defenders off balance all day. Harrell is long and can leap as well, making her an impact player on both ends of the court. She got into the painted area consistently before making good decisions on when to score and when to distribute. Harrell has a nice finishing package in the paint, and she made a lot of shots from the perimeter on Saturday. She is a player that college coaches are aware of and I expect her to pick up a few offers during her sophomore season. Addie was one of the youngest players at the Expo but also one of the best which is a high compliment because of the depth of talent of participants at the event. The best is yet to come for Addison. She loves the game and lives in the gym. So, seeing her now standout is only a preview of what's to come the next three years.

Paisley continues to add to her arsenal on the offensive end and that paid off on Sunday as she dominated the painted area for stretches during three versus three and five on five. When I watched her play last year, Collins was a little hesitant to shoot the ball from the perimeter. After watching her take and make several shots from three-point range and 10-12 feet, that seems to be an issue of the past. Paisley also beat her defender off the bounce from the wing several times, got to the rim, and then scored over and around the opposing team. She was excellent finishing around the rim as always, showing great footwork and excellent hands. Collins is an outstanding softball player as well, anchoring a very good Heritage team with deep playoff aspirations. She told me she is ready for basketball to get here. Clearly, she loves the game and has continued to work hard after winning a state championship as a sophomore. She is a no doubter when it comes to playing on the division two level in college. The question is whether or not a smaller D1 program will take a chance and extend an offer before she graduates.

Lydia is a player I had seen small chunks of in person, but [player_tooltip player_id='674574' first='Carly' last='Bass'] is usually the one doing the damage for Sequoyah in those games. I knew she was a good player going in but walking out of Lakepoint I thought to myself that Lydia was one of the most skilled and versatile players at the showcase. Whether she was smoothly knocking down shots from outside or finishing at the rim with her dominant left hand, Rogers made plays on both ends all day long. She has excellent size which allows her to be a very good stretch four prospect for colleges in Georgia with the skills of a guard to go with it. She plays the game with a very high IQ and the right way, never forcing shots or trying to do too much. Instead, Lydia was efficient and very effective picking her spots to attack and then putting the ball in the basket. She is one of the more underrated players in Georgia, but I don't think that will last much longer. I was very impressed with her overall game.

One of my favorite parts of doing individual showcases is finding really solid players that I had not seen or even heard of prior to the event. Robey was one of three players that made a huge, positive impression on me at Lakepoint. She is a crafty operator on the offensive end who has a real knack for putting the ball in the basket. For four hours Robey scored every way imaginable for both of her teams without being a ball stopper or playing selfish. A lot of her points came as a direct result of her hustle and being in the right spot at the right time. She grabbed several loose balls and offensive rebounds, converting more than a few for easy lay ins. With the basketball in her hands, Robey broke down multiple defenders in both the three versus three portion and then the five-on-five session to close out the camp. She was able to weave her way around and through defenders before knocking down floaters, jumpshots, and finishing smoothly at the rim with her dominant left hand. She will be Sprayberry's unquestioned leader and best player as a junior.

Madison was a player who just kept making things happen for her team. The southpaw knocked down several shots from key to key outside of the three-point line without touching the rim. Madison was also very good handling the basketball as she kept her head up and advanced the ball on the break repeatedly. In the halfcourt, Whitfield did a really nice job driving, drawing, and then dishing to open teammates in a good position to score. She plays the game with a high basketball knowledge and a big motor. She kept her responsibility in check defensively as well. I was very impressed overall with her game.

Nelson showed good fundamentals throughout the day on the offensive end of the floor. Her movement without the basketball got her open consistently on the perimeter. When Nelson got the ball, she showed a lot of versatility. Not only was she able to get the space needed to get her shot off from outside, but Kimori also did a nice job driving the ball to the basket. She also took and made shots from the midrange. Nelson was very good rebounding the basketball and then finding open teammates ahead on the break. Whatever Team Four needed, Nelson came through for her team.
