About Abby

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play fast and get up and down the floor fast. I like to get to my spots on the floor to be a potential outlet for a shot. I'm a pass first player but if I have to create my own shot I can do that as well. I like to advance the ball up the floor quickly since it is such an effective way to score the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a mentality that there's always more I can do so that I can improve. I am never satisfied with where I am. I try to improve every time I'm in the gym. I have a good personality and will include everyone in any situation. I like to make sure the room is light and if it's not I will try my best to do that.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am on my class council for school. I am also involved in a club for my school called MVP (Mentors in Violence Prevention). This club focuses on being able to tell when you are in a situation with abuse. I have received awards for ISASP's and other academic things.

CR – Kennedy has some big dawgs, being looked at by D1 programs at this time but someone that is overlooked is SG – Abby Wedemeier Abby Wedemeier Abby Wedemeier 5'7" | SG/PG CR - Kennedy | 2028 State IA out of their 2028 Class. A.W. is someone that can get hot in a hurry from the Wing. She is solid in the catch and shoot game but she is also someone that can lead as a pass first player, if need be. It’s always nice to highlight the big names from each program but someone like Wedemeier is crucial to their overall game-plan whenever they are competing. This is someone that some wouldn’t consider as a big threat on either side of the ball but if she see’s a shot go in early, it could end up being a long night for the opposing squad.
