Ella Jameson came onto the Varsity high school floor this past Winter and did well at holding her own near the bucket with her mixture of size and physicality. We saw Jameson during her 8th grade season and she was really raw in her ability. As a Freshman, she has progressed a good amount with her hand-eye coordination but she is still working to be the best version of herself out there. This is a name we are going to hear out of the CR area for the next three years. Her pure size and ability to learn in a short amount of time is impressive and it should get even better over time. She is one of the taller prospects out of the state so as long as she can work on her weakness in her off-tine, she is going to turn out to be one heck of a baller at the end of her career.

Ella Jameson Ella Jameson 6'1" | C Kennedy | 2029 IA has been terrorizing the middle school levels with her height and strength for years now so it was nice to see that she stepped up last season for CR Kennedy in the middle of the floor. Jameson showed out by consistently rebounding the ball on both ends, she made tough finishes near the hoop on both blocks, she controlled the middle go the lane really well with her communication, and she was someone that everyone had to worry about as they beat their initial defender on the perimeter because she was there waiting for a block, tip, or deflection. This Spring is going to be crucial for Jameson. If she can get some consistent work on both blocks each day, it’s going to play out really well for her in the end.

Ella Jameson Ella Jameson 6'1" | C Kennedy | 2029 IA has been a bright light for CR – Kennedy High School this season for her Freshman campaign. She has been a prospect that has taken up space in the middle of the paint, controlling everything that passes by her. She has been a constant on the defensive side of the ball, altering shots at Will with her length and fast acting reflexes. Not to mention, she can cover so much space with her size that she is notable on the help-side as well. This group should be able to continue producing with Jameson in the middle. She does a lot of good things that everyone could build off of moving forward.

We knew a little about Ella Jameson Ella Jameson 6'1" | C Kennedy | 2029 IA prior to this Winter high school season. We knew she was a taller prospect in middle school but we weren’t sure how she was going to compete on the Varsity floor as a Freshman. Well, Jameson has been a shining light over the past few months, making her mark in the middle of the lane with her high-octane playmaking ability between the blocks. Jameson stands at 6’1 and it seems like she is continuing to grew every time I see her. When you pair that along with the fact that she has a solid base, soft touch, and smart head on her shoulders of situations – who knows how far she might be able to take things.

Jameson does not look like a freshman. She’s every bit of 6-foot-1 with a solid frame and the potential to add more strength in the coming years. Her game also is advanced from a technical standpoint as well. Smooth footwork and the ability to attack with either hand makes her a tough matchup in the post. Agility allows Jameson to face up and operate away from the low block, whether that’s setting up in high post or pushing out to the wing, where she shows a knack for finding cutting teammates. Efficiency already is a part of her game as evidenced by her connecting on 11 of her first 15 field goal attempts this season. Jameson is, without question, one to watch moving forward.

Ella Jameson Ella Jameson 6'1" | C Kennedy | 2029 IA of Team Iowa AAU is a player to keep an eye on moving into her Spring/Summer prior to her first year of high school. Jameson is a 6’1 Center, that is extremely raw in all of her ability. She is going to be someone to watch because of her mixture of size, young age, and future potential. She displays that she understands what to do in certain moments of a contest, while also being an able rebounder and scorer because of all of this. I am not sure where Jameson is going to go to high school but wherever it is, they are getting someone that brings some intangibles to the table.
