The lefty is one of the better shooters in the small town ranks. Went off for 20 points, including 4 threes and 8 assists in a win over Sentinel. Had a full stat line performance against Apache with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. It’s fitting that while she’s a sharpshooter, she’s also a coach’s daughter. Making her a smart, all around impact player for Hobart, with a bright future.

I was only able to catch her play at one event and my counter part had the coverage. Click on the article below Doing some research off Hudl I seen where she dropped 5 from beyond the arch in a game last season. The movement to get open was nice coming off down and baseline screens. The footwork was nice using a step to create a passing lane away from the defender. Noticed also that she is one of those shooters that can go straight from triple threat position into a jumper with no wasted movement. A player that I look forward to keeping up with this season and her progress.

Southwestern Oklahoma sharpshooter, who had a game where she briefly caught fire. Seems to be microwave shooter, as once one three went in the rim must’ve looked huge. As she stringed together a quick series of makes from three. And even in the mid-range when ran off the line. Norton is a key floor spacing part of a tall and athletic Unity 16U 2027 squad. Which is good prep for a role she’ll likely be recruited to fill at the next level.

The lefty is not afraid to let it fly. And she has the handle and footwork to freeze a defender, and then drill a three over them. Range extends a few feet beyond the high school three book line. And in every clip watched, the ball flies out of her hands with a textbook form and rotation. Shooting always translates, and Norton appears to be one of the better in the class.
Was part of the Class A State Title Seiling team last year. She made the move to Hobart after her father took the Hobart girls job, after he was at Seiling as the boys coach.
