Since watching Morgan light up a game during December of her sophomore year, she’s been established as one of the top shooters in Oklahoma’s Class of 2027. Now as we approach the stretch run of her high school career, nothing has changed. She catches the ball ready to let it fly quickly and accurately. Her AAU program Unity appears to do a good job of running action for her to get open as well. Good athlete with a plus wingspan. Capable of attacking close outs, finishing in transition and forcing the occasional steal or two on defense.

Morgan has been killing it in tough match ups for Del City. She hit six threes for 24 points against Grind Prep, which snapped a Del City winning streak. But in a win over district foe Bishop McGuinness, she got active with 5 blocks and 11 rebounds, proving she’s more than just a shooter. While to win the tournament championship in Bartlesville against 6A Broken Arrow, she hit five three pointers for 15 points. When Morgan is locked in on both ends of the court, the Eagles have a State Title ceiling.

Morgan had a breakout sophomore season as a sharpshooter for an athletic and big Del City team. Which carried over to an impressive spring and summer, where she continued to turn heads. Very much a microwave type shooter. As once she hits one, she’s very likely to string together multiple makes from three.

Morgan torched the nets at times for Del City this past winter. And she carried it over with a very good spring with the DC Queens program. Including making strides as a driver and smart off the ball mover. Good athlete with a plus wingspan that adds to her defensive capabilities. No brainer for next level programs. As she’s efficient on offense and competes on defense.

A player that is listed as a SG?CG on Saturday she played the role of Shooting Guard. She was on fire Saturday from the 3-point line helping her team go 2-0 for the day. If you have seen Kamyiah seen before you know that she is a very diverse player that at 5’9 could play the 3 position as well. A strong downhill driver that can get to the gaps on offense and make things happen. Saturday, she made a living at free throw line as teams starting running her off the 3 point line. An excellent defender as well that gets her hands on a lot of deflections and steals.

When mentioning Del City great run n playoffs last year Kamyiah should be in that conversation as a key piece of that run. A very athletic combo guard that can knock down the outside shot or beat you off the dribble for a layup. Just check out her social media and you will see that she dedicated to working on her craft. High level scorer at previous school that did a wonderful job on adjusting her game to help the Lady Eagles to success.

Morgan made a loud statement in December with a 32 point performance against 6A Norman North. She was unstoppable from three in that contest, hitting at least 6 triples. She continued the hot streak with 23 points in a rivalry win the next week. And has continued to apply pressure with double digit scoring throughout the season. The sophomore has a silky touch from deep, along with good size and all around game. Very promising foundation, already with a translatable college skill (shooting). Expect Morgan and her Lady Eagles to make a Class 5A State Tournament run.

Morgan was unconscious from deep in Del City’s win over Class 6A Norman North. She caught fire in the second quarter and her hot shooting carried over into the third quarter which kept the Eagles comfortably ahead all second half. Most of her makes were of the floor spacing, catch and shoot variety. But she did comfortably drill a deep pull up triple. While also being quick to attack in transition, which included spin moves and “And 1” finishes. Impressive all scoring display from the rising sophomore.

Morgan has been at the attention of PGH contributors all spring and summer. Seriously, just click her profile above and see how many time’s she’s made an article!
Good athlete, with a nose for the ball on defense. On offense, the same quickness and size makes her a handful off the dribble. Complete guard, who might still be too low even after rising. Will be an exciting part of a Del City team that will be looking for another trip to the Class 5A State Tournament.

#599 Listed as a shooting guard but handled the ball quite a bit Saturday for her team. A fast tempo ball handler in transition that had the mind set of finishing coast to coast. Used a great change of dribble with a pocket hesi getting her defender flat footed so she can change her speed getting by them. As mentioned Kamyiah is listed as a shooting guard which was on display as well Saturday. Displayed a very smooth step back jumper for the 3 which you could tell she has worked on. Also hit a nice top of the key pull up in transition.
A tough on the ball defender that has quick hands and good lateral movement. Off the ball she is did an excellent job jumping the passing lane for steals. Another transfer that will have an impact on her new team., Kamyiah has transferred to Del City from Classen
