A couple of weeks ago, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2026. With 185 players now either ranked in our Top 75 or a part of our 110-person watch list in 2026, I wanted to take the time to highlight a few girls from each position group. Below is a look at the shooting guards and the 30 ladies included in this specific group, followed by some analysis on a handful of those prospects.

Over the past 12 to 18 months, Mollie has really taken off. Whether it's her steady play, her recruiting, or whatever else, she has drawn a lot of attention because of her ability to play with great versatility. She is long, wiry, and fluidly athletic. She can really shoot it from the perimeter or handle the ball and create offense. She has good vision, enough strength to finish inside, plus she has turned into a much-improved defender who can take on many different types of opponents. Look for her to have a huge year for Jennings County.

Due to a number of 2024 graduation losses at Columbia City, Anisa should be a prime recipient of more opportunity this season. She is a really nice athlete with a tremendous motor. She can probably play either guard spot, but she'll be leaned on more as a scorer and defender, in all likelihood, especially with [player_tooltip player_id='295754' first='Addison' last='Baxter'] returning for another year. Anisa has a quiet toughness to her game, and she is willing to get inside and do a lot of the "little things" to help her team win, like rebound, dive on the floor, take charges, etc.

Castle has been gearing up for their 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes to play together, while having good experience under their belts, so this year could be a nice year for the Lady Knights. Izabell will be a key backcourt contributor. She has a solid to strong frame, she's a balanced athlete, and she has a versatile skillset. She can score on the wing, attack the basket North/South, plus she will get inside and rebound some. She can defend wing guards, small forwards, or even undersized power forwards. I'd expect a nice Winter from her.

I have seen Ava since she was in 8th Grade, and I felt like she had a nice stretch in July, when I was able to check in on her again. She looks stronger, more assertive, and she's doing more things at different levels now. She's starting to rebound and defend at a higher level, plus she's driving the ball more often. Ava has always been a capable perimeter shooter, but these added dimensions make her that much more difficult to prepare for. As she continues to create more consistently off the dribble, look for her college interest to increase.

Jordan had a solid Spring, but she was even better throughout the July grassroots season. She is a nice, athletic lefty with great North/South speed and a little bounce to her. She's long, she has a toughness to her, and she plays extremely hard. She has been primarily known as a perimeter shooter, and she loves the left wing/corner, but in July she showed much more assertiveness off the bounce, and she was consistently finishing at the basket. I also really like her improved focus and urgency at the defensive end of the floor.
