A 6'0 guard/wing from River Falls caught my attention quickly as I dug through some of her sophomore season film. A Big Rivers All-Conference performer, a feat only matched by a consensus top-40 kid in the country, Quinn has the respect of everyone in the Big Rivers. The Wildcat can create her shot off the dribble, knocks down perimeter shots, and has the length to cause significant problems for opposing guards and wings.

The 5'7 Racine Case guard has a motor few others can compete against. Hicks flies all over the floor, and I'm sure she earned plenty of double-doubles based on how she chases rebounds. She was the leading scorer in the Southeast Conference last season and has shown flashes of offensive brilliance. Hicks will be a thorn in the side of every Southeast Conference opponent these next two seasons because Hicks is relentless. I love watching her get downhill because she refuses to quit and has an edge to her game that most people will appreciate.

The Eau Claire Memorial guard is an athletic kid who can defend like her hair's on fire. She has speed and can move laterally as well as anyone. Shaw's mind works quickly, and she understands how to play the advantage. For example, if she gets a defensive rebound, she's busting it up the floor and running in transition. The Old Abe guard is a pesky defender who usually takes the most challenging perimeter assignment each game, and she doesn't mind guarding against kids that outsize her. It almost seems like she enjoys that kind of challenge. However, her ability to generate extra possessions will keep her on the floor in high school games and draw attention from coaches at the next level.

Versatility is the name of the game for Place. The 5'10 wing can guard all five positions at the high school level and create issues for opposing teams on that end of the floor. She's laterally quick and has the length to contest shots, jump passing lanes, and move her feet defensively on the perimeter. She may not be a name highlighted much in the Madison area because she's not a lethal offensive kid, but I'd argue that what she does for Sun Prairie East is as valuable, if not more valuable, than scoring 15-20 per game.
