Kennedy Townsend
This 5’8 guard from Park Hills High School currently holds division one offers from the Missouri Valley Conference powerhouse Missouri State, as well as an offer from Creighton University. Townsend has a range comparable to any player in the State and is capable both off the dribble and as a set shooter. Simply put…Townsend put the shoot in shooter. If you wanted to make a list of the best shooter in the state, regardless of class, Kennedy Townsend would be at the top.
Averi Kroenke
Another highly recruited 2022 shooter who has attracted offers from Missouri, Louisville, Oklahoma, Missouri State, and Drake. If all of these blue bloods lining up to make offers are not proof enough, Kroenke was also invited to the Team USA 16U tryouts this past summer. At 5’10, Kroenke has great size and strength, which only makes trying to defend her an even more daunting task for opposing teams. Kroenke plays for head coach Jill Nagel at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
Addie Brownfield
This Boonville High School standout is poised for a breakout season in 2019-2020. Brownfield is arguably as accurate off the dribble as she is as a set shooter, which immediately sets her apart from the majority of high school shooters. Brownfield, maybe more than any other high-level shooter in the state, is more than willing to drive the ball and finish at the rim, which makes guarding this 5’9 sophomore difficult, to say the least. Brownfield has attracted attention from a number of mid-major division one schools, as well as a host of division two and NAIA programs in the Mid-West. Local NAIA powerhouse, Columbia College, has already offered Brownfield.
Carlie Libhart
As a freshman at Rolla High School, Libhart may have taken a few teams by surprise last year. That will not be the case in 2019-2020. A quick, smooth stroke, coupled with exceptional range makes this 5’6 sophomore one to watch. It is worth noting that Libhart’s height does not limit her much in the high school realm. Rolla’s roster is loaded with height and the majority of teams on their schedule are forced to try and control the paint, which leaves Libhart extra time on the perimeter.
