[player_tooltip player_id='1039028' first='Makiya' last='Trusel'] played well in the Orange Park preseason classic, displaying a potent midrange game to go along with her three point shooting and her ability to get to the rim. Trusel also commits to playing on both ends of the court. She has quick hands, quick feet, and plays in the passing lanes. Trusel is poised for a big season this year. She and teammate Weston could become a duo to be reckoned with on the First Coast.

[player_tooltip player_id='527277' first='Cami' last='Waters'] (cover) is one of the young players on the First Coast who can truly say that her time is now. Waters enters her third year of high school, and this year she will be the go-to player on her team. Waters played well in the preseason game against Trinity Catholic. She consistently got into the paint and scored on a variety of shots, including a nice floater, a pull up jumper at the free-throw line, and a runner in the paint. Waters also played well on the defensive end and showed the versatility she is known for. She came up with some timely blocks, and also defended well on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='656807' first='Brionie' last='Leahmon'] really plays to her strength on the basketball court: SPEED. It's hard for anyone to stay in front of her and she really stresses a defense when she gets in the open court. She consistently pushed the pace during the preseason game and made great decisions with the basketball. She converted a few layups and dished out several assists in transition. Leahmon was in attack mode all night and easily blew by defenders, creating scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. On defense, Leahmons was a pest on the ball and made it difficult for the opponent to get into their offensive sets.

[player_tooltip player_id='722922' first='Kennedy' last='Loux'] really stood out during pre season play and if anyone's time has arrived, it's Loux. She played well last year, and she is even more polished and has more confidence on the court. In addition to scoring, Loux also rebounds well from the guard position. She is a high IQ player who makes very good decisions. She does a good job of getting the ball to all of her playmakers on the inside as well as on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='434835' first='Reese' last='Mayer'] was a standout last season, but she didn't have to be the leader with all of the Seniors on the roster last season. This season is a different story. Mayer put up some impressive numbers this past week against Monte Verde and she is poised for a special “My Time” Season. Mayer has speed and quickness and can run with the quickest of guards. Offensively, Mayer can score from all levels, and definitely has the quickness to get to the rim. Mayer was impressive last year in big moments which was literally the entire season. Defensively, she has all the tools and skillset to be disruptive. This year, a lot will be on the Senior's shoulders. She is poised for a special season.
