ADM has been a program for years at has centered around the play of their PF - [player_tooltip player_id='311354' first='Kelli' last='Storck'] within the middle of their system. Storck has been a dominant staple within the lane, ever since she was a young age and she is going to be looked upon to do that exact same things this upcoming Winter for her last go-around. Her team lets her work in the paint, while understanding what she does best in each situation. For ADM to win meaningful contests this Winter, Storck has to play well. Plain and simple. If she does that, it's possible they do really well but if not, it could be tough sliding but who knows.

[player_tooltip player_id='311383' first='Abby' last='Tuttle'] is North Polk's main piece within their offense. She is a fast thinking, agile guard, that can get downhill in a hurry for an attempt at the bucket or to create for someone else once she gets into the teeth of the defense. Tuttle returns as their most vital piece because she will have the ball in her hands the majority of the time. she is going to be tasked with making a play in their system on every other possession at the very least and she has been their main producer in the past, so expectations are high.

Foster is a college committed Center with size, coordination, great hands, and understanding of the game. Foster does her work early on in a possession, she can dominate with her back to the basket on the catch, and she is not bad at passing out of the post when a double-team arrives. Defensively, she moves well laterally to stick with her matchup, she is tall enough to alter a majority of shots that come into the lane, and she rebounds as well as she should for her height. Oskaloosa High School will return this season with Foster for one more go around and if they use her in the correct ways, she is going to be a tough matchup for anyone to try to game-plan against.

I have a feeling that we are going to hear a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='833965' first='Maggie' last='McChesney'] this Winter of Glenwood High School. McChesney led her Glenwood Rams High School program in scoring last Winter as Freshman with just under 12 PPG, making over 35% from the field and 32% from behind the three point line. This is a classic situation where I think McChesney will lead her team in scoring the rest of her career but others will take the leads in different categories such as APG, RPG, and SPG. It's not that McChesney can't do it, it just won't be her job in the grand scheme of things. She is going to be asked to knock down shots at a high rate for years to come and I'm sure she is okay with that.

Perry High School returns some producers from years past again this Winter but the player that I really have an eye on will be Sophomore Forward, [player_tooltip player_id='1058892' first='Lily' last='Myers']. Myers stands at 5'10 and she is their force in the middle when it comes to rebounding and altering shots from the opponent. As a Freshman last Winter, Myers averaged just under 10 RPG throughout her season. Pretty impressive to kick things off for her high school career if you ask me. This Winter, this group is going to have the scoring from years past but it'll be interesting to see where Myers can take things. If she can average more PPG and stay locked in on the boards, she is going to be a standout from the 2027 Class throughout Iowa at the end of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044933' first='Claire' last='Storhoff'] steps onto the floor as a Sophomore this season and she has some bad intentions coming off of a successful Freshman campaign. This time around, Storhoff is going to be their go-to player in the almost every facet of the game, other than guarding the post. Offensively, she will be tasked with running the offense, making plays, and controlling the tempo of the game. Defensively, she will be the head of things for her group, showing everyone how to get after it by example. Decorah is a program that always competes, no matter the opponent, so I expect to see that first hand this upcoming season.

I have been a big fan of what [player_tooltip player_id='560333' first='Kendra' last='Boatman'] has done over her high school career thus far at Keokuk High School. Boatman is a prospect competing at the guard position, that possesses a high end play-making ability on both sides of the floor. She can score from three offensive levels, she makes others around her better, and she doesn't take any plays off. For being a Top 25 ranked player in the state for her Class, I think Boatman is underrated in the recruitment game. She has a handful of offers with even more interest but she can really hoop so I'm hoping that recruiters around the Midwest start to take notice in that a little bit more. As for this season ahead, Boatman will be the main piece of her Koekuk team. Now it's just about figuring out how far she can really take things.
