brought a lot of attention to my phone this weekend with how well she was performing off of the ball. Storhoff was knocking down shots at a high range from deep off the catch, she got downhill and scored whenever it was appropriate, and she created for others around her off of the dribble. Some forgot what Storhoff can bring to the floor because of her recent injury a year or so back but trust me, she can hoop. She is crafty and she is the type that just makes things happen out of no where. Sometimes at an uncanny rate. She has been consistent this Spring, showing after showing, and that’s helping her grab more and more interest moving into the Summer.

is getting a steal out of Iowa. Mainly because she was hurt for the majority of her Sophomore high school season so people may have forgotten but this is someone that I would consider PG #1 within a program. The way she conducts herself and plays with control of the pace of play is noteworthy. That’s something that you can’t necessarily teach. It just comes natural and we see that out of Storhoff. I’m sure that we are going to see a impactful season on the road out of the Lady Martin Bros program. They will be led by Storhoff as their starting PG so she is going to have plenty of opportunities to build off of the momentum she just put in place this past season for her Junior year with Decorah.

is just a straight up gamer. Anyway that she can help her team, she will on either side of the basketball, no questions asked and that stands out to people watching from the next level. Storhoff has only been back two games from injury and she is slowly putting things together but she has looked productive so far. She has been assisting as her team’s attacker from the outside, she is rebounding and pushing tempo down the floor for easy looks in transition, and she even posting up whenever she can for simple buckets over smaller defenders that get in her way. It’s going to be a journey for Storhoff until she graduates to get back to her old form but nevertheless, she looks to be back in action with a solid base to build on and that’s all that matters.

is going to end up just yet for her collegiate future but she will have some options. Storhoff is someone that jumps off the page with her playmaking ability when the ball is in her possession. She doesn’t try to overcomplicate things and she doesn’t try to force unneeded action that could lead to trouble. Instead, she takes what the defense gives her and that helps her standout as a top-notch producer. If you are a college coach looking for someone that plays with a chip on her shoulder but is still super calculated – look no further than Storhoff. She can GO. There is no doubt about that.

in the month of July on the road during the last Live College Viewing Period of the 2025 AAU season. Storhoff coming off of injury, is hungry. She wants to come back stronger than ever. If she takes the time she needs to get right physically, this is someone that should have several suitors from the next level moving into the Fall. She is the definition of crafty, she plays the game the right way, she is an A+ teammate, and she is ultimately someone with a great attitude that any coach would love to bring into the program. When you combined those all together, you get a proven winner and that’s what Storhoff is. As long as she comes back with a chip on her shoulder, she should be just fine.

Claire Storhoff is the heart and soul of Decorah High School. Storhoff has been “that” player ever since she was a young age and she is ready to continue to demonstrate that for anyone who may be watching. We are talking about a prospect with an efficient handle, smart decision making, a crafty play making ability, soft touch on the ball, and a solid motor. During her Freshman season she showed out as the player to know from this program and that should continue on this Winter as well.

Claire Storhoff steps onto the floor as a Sophomore this season and she has some bad intentions coming off of a successful Freshman campaign. This time around, Storhoff is going to be their go-to player in the almost every facet of the game, other than guarding the post. Offensively, she will be tasked with running the offense, making plays, and controlling the tempo of the game. Defensively, she will be the head of things for her group, showing everyone how to get after it by example. Decorah is a program that always competes, no matter the opponent, so I expect to see that first hand this upcoming season.

I love what Claire Storhoff is about. She is about controlling the pace of the game, making a play when it matters the most, and leading the others around her by example. Yeah, Storhoff can really handle but at the same time, she just makes great overall choices and that usually leads to success for her team in more ways than one. When it does come to her handle though, she is efficient and fundamental with it. Nothing crazy but just someone that doesn’t turnover the ball, while handing all given situations and that is all you need from your PG from a coaching perspective.

I’ve been a fan of Claire Storhoff and her play-style for a few years now. Storhoff is a crafty play-maker, that always seems to be in the right spot, at the right time. She is pretty quick in all of her movements and she has some solid athletic ability to pair with that. Once she gets her defender going down-hill, it’s really hard for them to react and recover, usually leading to some buckets in a number of different ways for Storhoff or her open teammates. All of this was on full display this weekend, as she helped lead her team’s to several different victories. This Winter at Decorah High School, she is going to have a chance to take the State by storm once again. If she plays like she did on Saturday and she stays motivated, she is going to be a hot commodity when it comes to recruitment out of Iowa in the near future.

I’m very excited to be in the same gym as Claire Stofhoff on Saturday, so that I can see how she has evolved her play-style since the last time I watched her compete. Storhoff is a smooth operator with the ball in her hands and she competes with that “X- Factor”, on both sides of the basketball. It doesn’t matter of the situation, it doesn’t matter where or when, if there is a chance to make a solid play, Storhoff is sure to make it happen. With her natural size at 5’9 and her seasoned ability, she put up solid numbers last Winter with her Decorah High School team and I’m sure that will be much of the same, but only better, over these next six months.
