2026 Impact Guards with Size

Here is a group of high-level guards whose combo of size and skill make them tough matchups. These junior guards all play big roles for their squads and should be in for big seasons in 2024-25.    The Glacier Peak guard is a high-level creator off the bounce. She looks best with the ball in her hands and it's because of her ability to slice the defense up and get inside. She just makes things happen whether it's finishing at the rim, drawing fouls inside, or collapsing the defense and finding kickouts.     The Foster transfer has put up some big numbers the past two years and she'll be a great addition at Auburn. She can knock down threes at a good clip, has the strength and touch to score inside in various ways, whether it's driving in, posting up, or working the offensive glass, and she's a potential mismatch for guards and posts because of her ability to play both along the perimeter and inside.     Wilkerson is a flat-out shooter who has the size to shoot right over defenders and does a good job staying aggressive from outside to knock down shots and pull defenders out away from the rim. She also has some handle and can play off that outside shot and slip inside, split defenders, and score with her length around the paint. Woodinville will put out another strong team this winter and Wilkerson will play a key role yet again for the Falcons.     Locati is a guard who really exemplifies toughness on the court. She is a good shooter from deep, has a good enough handle to attack gaps and do some playmaking, and has really been a pretty impressive facilitator for Redmond over the summer. She constantly outworks opponents to get in the mix on the glass, plays with high effort on both ends, and will be a key player for them this winter.     Collins is a tough guard who excels at playing through contact and asserting herself in the paint, but she's also a highly skilled perimeter player who can knock down threes and cross up defenders to get to the hoop. She is as tough as she is skilled and it really shows up with her ability to contribute on the offensive boards and power through multiple defenders inside.     She has good size at the guard spot and gets it done scoring the ball from different levels. Has a pretty good-looking outside shot and pairs that with solid moves to set up her defender and get into the paint off the bounce. Consistently finds ways to gain separation along the perimeter or in the midrange and is a real threat once she gets downhill.
