Despite facing adversity with an injury setback, this resilient player has made an incredible comeback, showcasing her determination and grit on the court. Her relentless work ethic and high-level rebounding ability make her an invaluable asset to her team. She consistently contributes in every way possible, embodying the spirit of a true competitor. Without a doubt, she possesses the talent and drive to excel at the next level.
Ariyana made the transfer over to Auburn before the season and she has showed much more versatility in her game on the court for the Trojans. Deloney does a great job at finding her role for each game and fitting it perfectly based on what matchup she gets on the court. In a recent game against Evergreen, Ariyana led the way with 19 points in the teams win.
The Foster transfer has put up some big numbers the past two years and she’ll be a great addition at Auburn. She can knock down threes at a good clip, has the strength and touch to score inside in various ways, whether it’s driving in, posting up, or working the offensive glass, and she’s a potential mismatch for guards and posts because of her ability to play both along the perimeter and inside.
She’s one of the most accomplished transfers this season, joining the Auburn Trojans after being named KIngCo 2A MVP twice and surpassing the 1000-point mark with Foster. Deloney had to do a lot at Foster but at Auburn, I would expect her rebounding, interior scoring, and spot-up 3-point shooting to be the most impactful skills. She also has some defensive impact she’ll bring with her quick hands and reactions.

. Ariyana has been a scoring machine for Foster the last two years, scoring over 20 points per game each season. She is an outstanding shooter with unlimited range. She also has the ability to score in the paint with her strength and size. She is first and foremost a threat to score from anywhere. I had a chance to see her this summer and she dropped a few threes in a row that were effortless from well beyond the arc. She then took her game into the paint with some strong drives to the basket showing why she was such a great scorer the last two years. She made 153 free throws in two years which is a lot! Auburn has the talent and youth to be a threat even with the move to class 4A for the next few years.
Ariyana averaged 22.6 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals per game. She had 86 free throws made, and recored 6 double doubles. She also shot 42% from the field with 56 threes made. She can shoot it from way beyond the arc, making her overall offensive game tough to contain. She makes her overall game evident when she gets into the lane and can score with her strength at the basket.
Ariyana is now suiting up for Auburn HS and has much more talent surrounding her. She dominates the paint and will be a huge asset for Auburn, who already has stellar guards. Deloney will be one of the biggest threats in the pick and roll game, being able to roll hard or pop out and knock down shots. She establishes her position down low well, setting herself up for an easy shot.
Ariyana was a big time scoring guard in her freshman season. She averaged well over 20 points per game. She has unlimited range. She is an all level scorer with her size and strength getting to the basket and can be be lethal from three with her range.
How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?rn-In the beginning, we struggled a little bit because we lacked team chemistry on the court. After a few games we gained more team chemistry and we started to play better, making better passes, better decisions, and playing to eachother’s strengths. Going into the season I was nervous at first being the only freshman starting with high expectations. After the first game, I felt more comfortable on the court and started doing the things I do.
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?rn-I felt like the biggest obstacle for me and my team was that there were multiple injury’s this season including me, causing constant changes in the line ups.
What do you think you improved most on the court?rn-I think I most improved on my confidence on the court and being a leader. Creating shots, improving my deep range and attacking the basket through contact.
What are you looking to improve before next season?rn-I want to improve my rebounding and being faster on defense. Talking more on the court and helping my teammates when needed.
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?rn-Some teammates that I think stood out this season are Lamia Djuderija. Mia Pittman, and Mele Fataua. A teammate I think could have a breakout year is Mele Fataua because she’s really good at rebounding and put back shots. I see a lot of potential in her.
