Campbell logged 13 points and 8 rebounds in the contest. She was extremely active on the offensive glass, snagging of her boards on that end. She also hit 3 triples, which were all of her field goals.

The rest of her work on the offensive end came at the free-throw line. Though she could have been more efficient, she was aggressive all night long, fighting through the stifling defense on every drive.

Madison Campbell’s offensive game continues to improve, and her and her sister’s recruiting needs to adapt with that too.

Campbell led the way with her scoring in that game, putting up 14 points, knocking down 4 3-pointers. She was getting great looks from outside and taking advantage of those open shots.

On the defensive end, Campbell did an incredible job keeping Vilonia’s guards from getting into rhythm. She pressured them for all 32 minutes, played with active hands, and dove on the floor after loose balls. Her great play on the defensive end was apparent throughout the rest of the season, as she earned all-defensive honors in the conference.

Campbell is coming off a great sophomore season where she earned all-conference and all-defense selections. Those awards are not surprising, especially not the all-defense selection, considering how I believe she could be the best perimeter defender in the 6A classification.

Campbell plays with an intensity that is hard to find. This intensity is not out of control, but it helps her become a menacing defender, applying constant pressure against opposing guards. Like many great defenders, she can steal passes and strip ball-handlers, but she is one of the best in the state at moving laterally and keeping her assignment in front of her.
