was one of the first players I talked about in my first PGH article. I knew she had serious potential, and despite not receiving consistent playing time at Fayetteville in 2024-25, I still believe that. Crawford has since moved to play at Springdale Har-Ber, a 6A West rival of her old school.
Crawford has turned some heads this summer with Shock Hoops, especially at the KC Clash in early May. There, Crawford proved how versatile a scorer she can be. Not only can she knock down jumpers, but she is effective at backing down her defender in the post and finishing through the teeth of the defense.
Not many guards can score consistently with their backs to the basket, but Crawford can. She also knows where to find her open teammates if she finds herself in a bind, as well as how to dribble out of it.

could find a starting job with Har-Ber this next season, especially after the Lady Wildcats graduated Jazmine McCarther and Brooklyn Owens. Stay tuned to watch this 2027 guard put in work.

is coming back from an injury, but for Crawford, her ACL injury kept her off the court for 9 months according to her social media. Despite that, Crawford is expected to have a big sophomore season, and do not be shocked if Crawford becomes one of the best combo guards in the 2027 class.
Crawford competed at the Oklahoma Prep Girls Hoops Showcase back in 2023 where she earned 1st Team All-Showcase honors. At this showcase, it was clear that Crawford’s game is more advanced than other players in her class. On drives, Crawford can find the creases in the defense and directs traffic like a senior point guard. She also has a nice corner 3-point shot, and is unbothered by the defense’s closeouts.
College programs should be intrigued by Crawford’s game, which is far ahead of where it should be at her age. Hopefully for Fayetteville, her game picks up right where she left off.

Jaida has already been named as a First Team All Showcase Player and that in itself explains her performance at the PGH Oklahoma Freshman Showcase but to expand on what has already been written, it is without a doubt that she was one of the best all around players in Edmond this morning! — her efficiency from beyond the arc was outstanding and the way she maneuvered around the defense to get to the basket was eye catching.

There was a theme at the Showcase this year of players who played with a basketball intelligence beyond their years and players who stood out as the leader of their team from the outset. Jaida was both of those things. She plays with a clear-eyed style that you don’t see in many 2027’s. Even if you didn’t know, you would assume from watching her on the court that she is a coach’s daughter. She’s seeing the game different. She’s driving into weaknesses in the defense that other players aren’t picking up on. Her changes of speed when handling the ball are typical of a point that’s been running things for a high school team for several seasons. She’s silky smooth and can score it in so many ways. No slouch on defense, it’s clear to see that Jaida is dedicated to perfecting her game and doing a dang good job of it.
